Choose the cheapest SP tariff that does not have exit fees. Then you have choices.
Let SP setup your account and then look at the price comparison sites to see if you can get a better deal elsewhere.
If you can find a better deal with a company you feel you can trust, switch. (Ensure you research any company you switch to, don't just pick by price)
Prices have gone up in the last year so any new deal will probably cost more that the tariff you have been on.0 -

They sent me an email to pick a tariff but the cheapest one was £20 more a month than I’m paying now. I know I was in credit with EE but the website has been taken down and I can’t remember how much it was. Now I suppose I can’t transfer until the switch is sorted not happy anyone else in this situation out there? any advice most appreciated
Yes, look for a post by a user that returned to this board with their second ever post after an almost 9 year abstinence
Whatever credit you thought you had is irrelevant - it's the account balance as calculated up to Sunday 25 November that is important.Customers of Extra Energy will be contacted by Scottish Power over the coming days and again in a few weeks when the transfer has been completed and their accounts are fully set up. At that point, if customers wish to change their tariff or switch supplier, they should ask Scottish Power to switch them to another deal, or shop around.0
