first thing you need is a "orlando magic card" from official tourist office, international drive, right by the convension centre. We always send for ours in advance however you do not have the time.....however i will send you ours if you send me a private message.
this gives you either money off directly 10-20% or freebies, well worth having, certinely better than a kick in the face.

    Hi

Going to Orlando next year and this sounds useful can you let me know how I send for it in advance

    Many thanks

    Hi yummymummyoftwo

You can also sign up to Orlando Premium and Prime outlets and print off coupons before you go - this is what I have done. You will be there for Labour day weekend shopping which at the outlets they are saying you will get an extra 20-65% off. I head out on Monday so fingers crossed there is no hurricane!!

Can anyone advise please, I've been pricing up seperates and packages over christmas this year and packages appear to be coming out cheaper!

I'm getting around just under £3000 for family of 4. That's 2 adults, 1 teen and 1 child, flights from manchester, villa (we want seperate bedrooms) and car hire. There over chistmas and new year.

Given the crunch and the fuel prices re airlines, is this a good price and should I snatch their hands off or not?:D

    Cheers

Triker--not enough detail---would be rare indeed for a package booked in advance to be cheaper.
    Two three or four weeks?
    Pool heating?
    What size car?
    What size villa.?
    Direct flights?
    Including passes?
    Who are the agents?

    Sorry no help really!

It's ok, I'm on a MSE mission now and have booked flights now for 500 less than quoted and now searching for accommodation. :D

Tropical storm Fay over Cuba, predicted heading to Florida where it could upgrade to a hurricane by Tuesday

    you can track it here...

    http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/graphics_at1.shtml?5day#contents

We have been here two weeks and have two more to go.

We have been watching this. One thing to bear in mind is that the Americans do like to over egg a few things.

Whilst the Keys have been evacuated the rest of Florida is just on a watch. The current path will NOT involve the Orlando area, but it all changes.

Dont let the hype put you off. We were supposed to have 60 percent rain today and had not a drop.

The Beltz was a dump IMHO but thankfully its not there anymore. The Prime Outlet people bought it and spent a fortune on it. Its now a real nice place to shop.

For instance they have an Old Navy which is part of Gap. Jeans for fellas were 25 bucks. Went into Tommy Hilfiger and they also had jeans for 25 bucks. Cant complain at that

    Re OUTLET MALLS

You all should also visit the BEST outlet mall INHO which is the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores. Its easy to get to on Vineland Ave and has the best choice of stores.

The GAP there has a kids section, the one at Premium outlets does not. It has an Old Navy which is basically the same as GAP as they own it but its half the price. They have a good Nike and Reebok store. also an IZOD which is awesome for polos etc. Has a Converse also etc.

    Web sites are

Are you a member of the AA? If yes, book online and enter the code "AAA" in the promotions box. In theory they will ask you to show your membership card at check in, so be sure to take it with you.

If you are an annual pass holder at Universal that also gives you a discount I believe, subject to availability.

It's a fantastic hotel, possibly my favourite in Orlando :) Not to mention the FOTL perk :T

I am not sure that the AA and the AAA are the same however we are members of AAA over here and use the discount all the time and have never been asked for the card so give it a go.
