I have flown the route and had a good flight both ways. Its a budget airline but the food was no worse than any other airline which we received despite not paying for it
I think Penny is most likely refferring to very recent events wherby the airline had their safety license revoked and were fined for knowingly flying dodgy planes. In other words they were flying planes not fit or safe to be in the air full of passengers.
For that reason i would never fly with Globespan.0 -

Thanks for that dampener! There's always someone willing to put a dampener on a bit of excitement. Thanks! I've actually flown with them before and they've been really good. I work in a travel agents and we book them all the time with no complaints but hey ho we can't all afford the airlines with the top notch reviews. Cheers!Caroline0 -

well said! Don't want to get into a "heated" discussion on this board which is after all about holidays in Florida but its worth saying that I know quite a few people that have had no problems with Globespan flights they have had and TBH Caz didnt ask for opinions on the airline but said she had already booked the flights so did not need to hear anything negative!0 -
I don't think anyone meant any malice - only that, if you read the reviews, their reliability is atrocious and that might have a knock on effect for anything they have booked in Florida, such as hotels or connections or whatnot.
I looked at Globespan for my flights and found them £100 more expensive than Virgin - which was curious.Comping wins this month: 2 x business class flights anywhere we like | Horse vitamins (!) | New kettle | Motorcycling prints | Signed LPs | Thanks to all!0 -
I was wondering if anyone can help. Late last night I got an email to say that our accommodation at Kingston Reef had been cancelled due to it not actually being available despite the fact that it had supposedly been booked on Monday! Now we have flights, a car and no where to stay. We have been offered a couple of motels, but none of them are on the same level as the Kingston sonow not sure what to do. Does anyone know if there are any bargains to be had with villas due to needing one from the 18th for 14 nights - 4 days time - or I guess a really nice hotel which is cheap ish. The ones we have looked has been making my husband very nervous and all I hear is 'oh my god it is CSI miami!'0

We stayed at the marriott Village in April and loved it. It is clean, comfortable and just the other side of Orlando Premium Outlets from your previous accomodation.
Don't know how many of you in your party/ how many rooms you need/ what you mean by cheap-ish etc but there are 3 hotels in the 'village', might be worth a look!

With respect, if i were about to fly on a plane with my children that had recently had their license revoked and fined for flying planes with safety issues i would rather know.
Its not about putting a dampner on things, its about making you aware that the airline you are flying with have recently and im talking the last few weeks, been found guilty and fined for flying dodgy planes with passengers on board.
As for being on time thats great, imagine telling the passenger "The flight has no thrust sensors and is unsafe to fly, but hey - its on time"
Dont blame fellow users on here, blame Globespan who quite clearly put profits before the safety of their passengers.0 -

I would look on Expedia under hotels and see whats available, you can then check it on Trip Advisor - also Trip Advisor is good for finding reliable companies with villas as well.
Also have a look on www.thedibb.co.uk, there are forums on there too, and you will get a response on there from users with recommendations.
We are staying in Extended Stay De Luxe suites have a look at them, they are cheap and cheerful and seem to be all over Orlando.
Good luck!!0 -
