Ponders the number of women who also have to rummage through the detritus that their male significant other has asked them to keep in their handbag for them, in order to find said purse.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

You also have the drivers who suddenly break when they suspect the light is turning yellow.

    Fragile things, these ladies.
  • My Wife, Daughter and Mother-in law all manage to find other things to do (use the toilet, chat to someone, inspect the wallpaper) as soon as we go into a pub when I'm trying to find out what they want to drink so I can go straight to the bar. Why they can't prioritise giving me their order BEFORE chatting etc. I don't know but this trait may just be limited to the female side of our family and I can't speak for the entire female population.

Just read some of the OP's other posts to see how detatched from reality and stuck in a past era he is.

    Oh and:

Firstly the light is amber not yellow. Secondly the Highway Code tells you all you need to know about these "yellow" lights (i.e. that you are meant to stop at them). Maybe if you think a car has "breaks" instead of brakes you shouldn't be on the roads at all?

Struck a nerve with you, did they?

I have noticed the same things that the OP has.

Of course, it's only a small minority of women who do this.

And why does it seem it's always women and not men?

    One word: Pockets.

There are almost certainly just as many disorganised men as there are disorganised women, but because men tend to have pockets, even the disorganised ones can generally lay their hands on their money in less than geological time.

Since I have started using apple pay for all purchases I find things go a lot quicker. There is no messing around with wallets and change.

I recently signed up to a bank called Monzo and its really been a game changer. I could not recommend them any higher!

You also have the drivers who suddenly break when they suspect the light is turning yellow. Passed an accident earlier today when someone suddenly stopped at a yellow light and got rear-ended.

    I've bolded the word you've overlooked. ;)
The complaint is about them stopping on Green (because they think it's about to turn to amber), not that they stop on Amber. :)

Mr S has a 'thing' about queueing, but his pet hate is having to wait at railway level crossings. He's so bad, he'll say 'I'm not wasting time hanging about here' and peel off to do a 2 mile detour. But at least he hasn't wasted time waiting for the barriers to go up.
  • Then you have those at cash machines that take a bloody age. First they have to check their balance, then think about how much cash they need, take it out, look at the receipt, place their bag on the cash machine, dig for their purse, find the purse, put the card in, put the purse back in the bag, close the bag, take a quick look behind the shoulder before saying "sorry" and running off.

Maybe if so many women weren't assaulted and robbed by men, they wouldn't worry so much about making sure their money is in a purse which is secure in their bag. I've had my purse snatched from me and it's terrifying.

I've also chased down an idiot bloke who put his card in, withdrew a tenner, took his card and started walking off - leaving his tenner in the cash machine. He looked pretty sheepish when I caught up with him, tapped him on the shoulder and said 'Excuse me? You forgot this' and handed him the tenner.
