PPI Team

  • Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right place to post...we have recently had a PPI team payout and they have sent us an invoice for 39% of the amount. Am I correct in thinking that a legislation was made capping charges at 20% for these payments? Are they just trying their luck? Thanks in advance!

Not if you agreed the higher rate before the cap.

We agreed it late last summer, just before the deadline-should be 20% I think then?

    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'

Sorry I was not very clear, we agreed for them to do the searches just before the PPI deadline last summer. Nothing with them before last summer and it seems the legislation was bought in in 2018?

Threaten them with the Ombudsman and they'll soon back down.

I urge anyone who have yet to pay this company to ask for a copy of your signed agreement!
They tried to charge my nan 39% over £1k and she had never signed an agreement... Only verbally spoken to them on the phone! After several months of constantly asking them for the signed agreement I made an official complaint and they never supplied an agreement and after going to the ombudsman they finally backed down and closed the account with no money owing.... Feel free to message me for help if needed! These people are absolute con men.
