I’d say that’s a legitimate cause for concern
Then ensure that the recall has/will be done.0 -
But your recall is for the clutch, nothing to do with "blowing up on the motorway". If you want people to agree with you then you'd be better off adding to the Ford Ecoboost thread, but don't expect the dealer just to roll over.0

Had a look online and realised that there seems to be a growing amount of problems with regards to the engine. Turns out that some have been going on fire
Upon further inspection, it turns out my new car is to be recalled due to a clutch issue. The salesman never made any reference to this whatsoever.
Surely the time to do this is BEFORE you purchase the car??You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -

The recall on the car is for the clutch.
You cant reject a car because someone elses went on fire.0 -
If you're having buyers remorse I'm sure they'll buy it back off you, but expect to lose at least a grand in the process.0

I understand that the recall is for the clutch.
However when Arnold Clark take the car in, surely they run diagnostics prior to putting the car on the forecourt?
You’d think it would cause less hassle for them in the long run0 -
They should have done. At least they'll have checked the recalls on the system.
Is there any reason why you wouldn't be happy after taking it back in to confirm the recall has been done?0 -

Doesnt change the fact that the car needing a recall done or AC not doing the recall, isnt grounds for rejection.0
