And so you have read NOTHING that the claim form tells you to do? You know, the actual instructions on how to defend?!

And you've still not even gone near the NEWBIES thread to read how to defend?

Come back in 2 or 3 days after you've read the sticky thread (no link given, see my signature).

You first need to readup on this game you are caught up in by spending some time reading up the Newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum

    #1 explains the game

#2 advises on how to deal with a court claim

I'm sorry I have tried but I'm dyslexic and I can't work it out. That's why I posted, I just wanted some help on my issue.

Address for sending documents and payments
    PARKINGEYE LTD
    38-40 EATON AVENUE
    etc etc

    Yes that will be correct

However you aren't sending them a payment

The form will also have the court address for returning your defence

But do read up on this otherwise you can make a big error filling in defence boxes at this stage etc
  • None of the options on that thread apply to me. I parked there because I had a course there and the receptionist said it was OK. I don't know what to do. I applies on the website for more time but now I don't know what to do.
A friend said to come on here and people would help me but just telling me to read the newbie thread isn't helping.

    Thanks anyway.

What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?

Have you read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread?
It tells you how to defend a case.
    It does apply to you.

This forum has a great deal of info to help you

You need to get someone to help you understand it

There isn't a magic bullet to make it go away!
  • What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?
It was issues 9th November but I only got it yesterday! I have applied for an extension on the moneyclaim gov website.

I don't remember there being any signs either and I have looked the car park up on google maps and I can see one that might be a sign part blocked by a big car with a roof box.
It wasn't a pay and display car park it was a large hotel one.

With a Claim Issue Date of 9th November, you have until Wednesday 28th November to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox link from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

Having done the AoS, you then have until 4pm on Wednesday 12th December 2018 to file your Defence.

That's nearly four weeks away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but don't leave it to the very last minute.

When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as described here:

    1) Print your Defence.
    2) Sign it and date it.
    3) Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
    4) Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    5) Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
    6) Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defended". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
    7) Wait for your Directions Questionnaire and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread to find out exactly what to do with it.

Does that mean you have already done the Acknowledgement of Service?
If so, ignore the first two sentences above.
