True, but what I meant was that the LBA might encourage OTM to pay up - before any court fees are raised.
There is a report on the Facebook OTM discussion of OTM having to pay a £25 court fee.
I looked at that group because M.S.E. promotes it but one of the administrators have their facebook profile openly linked in the group members section and it looks like they are involved in other groups connected with the Labour Party. I really wanted to be in a group with other Outfox The Market customers and don't want to be involved in a political group. I've also noticed that some posts which disagree with the aims of the group disappear so there is no open discussion. So I didn't join that group. A shame because it otherwise looks interesting.0 -

The group has no political links, unless you count people writing to their MPs. That members there are members of political organisations simply means they have other interests. (at least that's my take on it).
As to MSE promoting the group. Although they mentioned it in a news article, I wasn't aware of them actively promoting it.
And posts disappearing. They do look out for any defamatory comments, and possibly people who have joined the group just to cause trouble have been removed, along with their posts. Some members have also left & removed their own posts. Not aware of any other vetting though. That said, I don't visit that much any more.0 -
I switched this morning to Bulb as their price was within £10 a year to Outfox the Market and I got referred by a friend which gave me £100 when I signed up as credit so it'll definately be cheaper over the next year and with any luck better customer service (read, no direct debit mucking around)0

I've been looking at Bulb too. But the problem is it's a variable tariff which means Bulb can increase price to any time and last year they increased their price 3 times to a total of 19%. I'm not swayed by the £100 but it might come in handy. The price comparison is similar yours with a saving of £4 over the year or I could go with Bristol for £12 a year more but that's another variable tariff.0 -
It's taken since the 18th December 2018, but OFTM has finally raised my final bill. Now waiting for them to pay back what they owe me and I wonder how long that will take them??0
-
Under the terms of their Licence Conditions, and EU Law, suppliers have to use their reasonable efforts to produce a Final Bill no later than 6 weeks after the actual date of transfer of supply. To do this, they require industry-validated readings from your new supplier.
OTM has produced my Final Bill statement showing a credit online within the 6 week date of transfer of supply as per their Licence Conditions / EU Law.
Does anyone know if there are any Licence Conditions / Law on how long they can take to provide the refund of the credit they owe?
Anyone been refunded yet? What was the time frame?
Thanks for any info.0 -
Outfox have confirmed I switched on the 25th December and after taking a direct debit and billing me again in January have yet to send my final bill. I chased it up last week and they said it has been raised with the billing team0

I haven't had my refunded credit either and I left in December. Just got onto them and they are going to process it in the next few days.0

Switched 9 Weeks ago.
Still no sign of a final bill from OTM.
In all fairness they haven't tried to reinstate my DD, but they are still billing me every Month with estimated readings and my account is showing £300 debit when actually it should be in a small credit.0 -
I got mine followed by a prompt refund when I emailed their complaints department staying it had been over 6 weeks.
Worth a try if you're keen to get it resolved - complaints@foxglove.energy
My reply came I think the next working day with my final bill and credit back in my account a day or two later.0
