You could be forgiven for thinking that we didn't have a Christmas Forum here already...?

You would be surprised how many folk don’t have their accounts limited and can be seen by all. Ive seen all sorts over the years, some of which definately shouldn’t be shared with the world on their own profile

I don't mean pictures of a small child gleefully unwrapping on xmas morning

I mean pictures on Christmas eve after the kids have gone to bed...pile of gift wrapped presents that's bigger than the Christmas tree..

What a very strange thing to ask!

I've never seen anyone I know in RL post pics of stacks of presents 'bigger than the tree'. I suspect an element of exaggeration is in the opening post. Yes, I have friends who post their xmas present stack, so what?

    Oh, I have.
It's typical of the 'look at me, look at how wonderful my life is' fakery of a lot of social media.
    It's just vulgar and tacky

    ... why?

You then say you think it is tacky, so don't look at it.

I think life is nicer when you give people the benefit of the doubt.

They are probably just excited, their children are in those short few years where they are old enough to know what Christmas is and young enough to be mega excited about the magic bloke leaving presents in the night.

It doesn’t last long, why begrudge them sharing their joy about it?
