Stop contacting them. They want your money and you seem determined to give it to them.

All this company have ever done so far is send very scary letters. Nothing else. They have different headings and pretend to be from solicitors but ultimately they are just scary letters.

Only 'scary' if you're easily scared.

    Is that you @OP?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Come on, turn this sorry tale around.

I'd recommend following all the great advice here to the letter. These regulars know what they're doing and what they advise is a systematic approach. At this moment in time there's no point complaining about the wider issue when you can, in fact, fight this particular injustice yourself and save a lot of money into the bargain.

A mere 18 minutes that was necessary to put money in Tesco's till .... did you get around to complaining to them?

    So after I said this:

So ignore them. You should have appealed online, or with proof of posting.

It's only LCP at Harlesden Plaza, a well documented site. The signs are unclear & useless and LCP are not known to do anything except send debt letters.

    You did THIS???
Ok so I have now been contacted to say it will go to solicitors.

I have contacted the company to see if they can come to an agreement as £170 is outrageous.

Why? So what about a letter saying they are passing it to solicitors?! Who cares? Why did you contact them?

You asked where the NEWBIES THREAD is...even though my signature tells you. Please read what is in front of you (the advice you already had here, and my signature telling you/everything in colourful bright writing, to read the NEWBIES thread) and not their stupid letters that I told you to expect.

And don't even mention the CAB. Their so-called advice on scam PCNs is diabolical, clueless, and downright dangerously wrong due to being badly taught (yes, I watched a CAB Webinar on the subject of private PCNs and it was the blind leading the blind - truly embarrassing).

Can you just stop taking the bait and taking it so seriously?

    Hi
I received parking ticket in Harlesden plaza car park.
It was a bank holiday and I thought it would be free.
I just popped in Tesco and was there 10.56 to 11.14.
I appealed to them as I did not receive a reply I called to see and was informed they did not receive it and to appeal on there website. The operator informed me I have plenty of time so appealed again. When I called them back few weeks later they informed me they replied to me via email. I informed them I had not received it and may have gone into my junk mail. I hardly check my junk mail as you get so many emails in junk. I trailed through my junk mail and found the rejection letter. I spoke to Popla who advised me to get new ref number from them and they have refused. What can I do? Do I have to pay. I think it’s unfair as they want to charge 170.

I didn't know ...I've been liasing with popla, citizens advice I will most definitely give them a call....I guess that's my last hope.

I did contact them they said as it's private they can't do anything. But I should fight this as it's unfair charge

I didn't say ''forget about it''.

    I said ignore letters.

Come back if they try a small claim.

We see wins 99% of the time and guess how much the odd case lost, ends up seeing the Defendant pay? About £170!

So no, it can't ''go up''. And LCP never currently feature in court claims. They tend to just send letters and hope people take the bait...

Stop reading their stupid letters and STOP ringing them. Why do people fall for their scam?

Oh - just for the laugh - what did the CAB ''advise'' you about this scam?

  • They told me it’s unfair but I should just pay it otherwise it could go to court and have CCJ on my record. I must have contacted everyone even BPA who said the same thing. If these people know it’s unfair why am I not getting any help. The stupid rules that have been passed. No justice.
