I appreciate the constructive comments but honestly, if it was you buying and selling wouldn’t you equally have emotional ties?
Yes, and we've all been there and done it too. The quicker you learn, the easier it becomes. This forum didn't exist when I went through it the first few times. Being upset and stressed doesn't change anything, it just makes it less bearable. How we react is a choice - we can choose to be calm.
I'm sitting on some wood on the slab of what will be my new kitchen floor of our self build and hoping for some walls today, but reality dictates it will be tomorrow now. It's taken over 7 years to get here, so I'm just allowing myself to enjoy the process and enjoy our future in advance. No unrealistic deadlines. Although I'd really love to see a wall todayEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

We specifically added to the sales info that there was a our mortgage date and made it clear that this was out of our control.

You are the one being unreasonable though. And youre still not getting the point.
You mightve specifically put it on the sales info but as youre realising it doesn tmean anything. Youre over a barrel where youve given £9k discount and at a moment of either waiting for things to be sorted or looking for new buyers. You can try as someone mentioned and withdrawing the £9k discount but i suspect youll also find that youre buyer withdraws from that, again leaving you over a barrel.
These are all problems created by you with unrelaestic and unreasonable expectations. Had you acted reasonable i suspect youd have an extra 9k in your pocket as no need for a quick sale that cant be achieved.
It just seems really bizzarre that you dropped your house price by £9k for a 'quick sale' to avoid paying, what, a few hundred quid in product fees? Its the very fact that youve tied yourself emotionally that you are in this position. And until you remove the emotional tie and see things clearly and sensibly youll be freaking out.0 -

Ok so let me explain about mortgage info in more detail as it’s not the product fees. It’s a 5 year fixed rate we’ve secured with £1,000 cash back and 2%. Now rates gone up and will cost an extra £150 a month without the cash back. So it’s an awful lot more than product fee.
My husband cannot have time off after the dates we’ve given until 2019 nor can I commit to buying and selling on my Own on the same day.
Hence the reason for the dates.
We’ve been told for the last 3 months it was all going to be possible so we’ve prepred to move and some of the ‘emtion’ Is due to suddenly
It not likely to happen.

I could have - you are totally right but I was told it was all
Fine and going to happen! Plus we can’t get an extension.

That's a key word I'm afraid.
We do understand that buying/selling property can be a tremendously emotional experience, but sometimes coming here can prove useful to hear objective opinions from those that have been through a number of transactions, but aren't involved in your particular one.
There are so many factors that affect how quickly, or slowly, any given transaction will progress.

That being the case you could get help to move.
If you don't have any friends or family who would help you out then you can pay people to do pretty much anything, so it's not impossible.
Actually if you have a removals company doing the heavy lifting, then what it is you can't do on your own?0 -
I appreicate it's difficult to plan, but unless your husband is a cabinet minister then it sounds like his employers are being intransigent.

He’s actually going through redundancy process with his staff (lots of travelling away) and as a retailer his hands are tied for Christmas so not just ‘cabinet ministers’...
I’ve already researched this but I just can’t get the help I need as I live over 2 hours away from family and most of my
Friends and without knowing when I’ll need help it’s impossible To arrange.
