The way things are going, the only customers OFTM are going to have left are the ones on low fixed rates. and they can't be making a profit on them with the wholesale prices going up so much . . . . .

Just signed up to So Energy from these clowns. What I am wondering is if I should cancel my DD with Outfox (the first of their increases) before it goes out on the 5th as I fear I won't get it back as I seem to be in credit. I have taken screen shots from the OFTM website showing all my readings (I suggest others do this) as well as my current statement showing I am £197 in credit. This at least gives me some backup proof if they tried to hold on to my money.0

@IH8G24,
Given two energy increases in the space of a week I suggest you move supplier given I take it you are on OFTM's Variable pricing with no Exit Fees - the MSE Energy Club Changeover seemed a reasonable deal to me, that is if in your circumstances I'd swap and fix prices for as long as you can if those offered are competitive - just use the Cheap Energy tool again and calculate where you stand. In this observers opinion, I see electricity and gas prices moving in one direction only, which is up and this is particularly so with regards uncertainty about Brexit.
I have done exactly that and switched today to the next cheapest, which is Lumo. I've got it fixed for 12 months. So OFTM have today lost a customer who wasn't even annoyed about the direct debit changes! It really does look like the end is near for them.
Next day edit - Lumo have emailed saying sorry my switch didn't go through - they're unable to support my property. Strange that they would even come up in a search where I have entered my postcode, but oh well, on to the next cheapest one today!0 -
Argh. We signed up just last month. We were scheduled to be switched on the 2nd of November, but it took somehow til the 20th of November. Now, 8 days later, before we've even taken a metre reading, we are getting a rate rise of 23%! C'mon, that surely is bait and switch.
We just left Good Energy after many years because of having to fight about metre readings and all sorts of billing problems (including once where they sent us 4 different bills in 4 days). I just don't have the patience for this !!!!!! with a new company. We will be looking to switch asap.Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win. - Jonathan Kozol0
