I joined in September, following the end of the EON fixed price, then within a fortnight in October, a price increase of around 8% and now this one at 8.5%, only three weeks later ?
Time to switch and bin them before another increase in December, January, February, March etc, etc0 -
I have just joined and the gas part hasn't gone through yet only made one payment to date will have to wait and see if they are true to their word, waiting for SSE to get their act together regarding the gas changeover0

Welcome to forum. The losing supplier has a minor role in an energy switch: the gaining supplier manages the transfer as required by its Supply Licence Conditions. A supplier has 35 days from the date that it accepted your application to switch, to take over your supply. The losing supplier has 6 weeks from the date of transfer to issue you with a Final Bill. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. The have also got their prices wrong as they said my price would go up £888.80 / year. When I complained they said it was wrong and the increase should be £56.69
We had same issue - stated initially that out increase was £1422.80 however after querying they sent a revised amount of £92.50 per annum.
Difficult to do accurate comparison as OFTM is not updated on Energy Club however even without update the Peoples Energy is coming up cheaper - considering moving to fixed however so we don't have continual price rises.0 -
Hold them to the incorrect prices. lol0

From 13 December 2018 your electricity unit rate will change from £0.1206/kWh to £0.1338/kWh Your gas unit rate will change from £0.0372/kWh to £0.0400/kWh
Agreed, fully expecting a third email correcting that error, since I'm sure the electric is not 0.1237p/KWh they quoted!0 -
Well thats it then, I've told them to "Foxtrot Oscar" as 2 price increases in 2 months is just taking the pee.
I've signed up to Peoples Energy, I'm only saving around £6 p/a with them but they appear to offer far better support than OFTM and more importantly, they've told me they don't plan to increase their charges every month.
Bye Bye OFTM :T
(now watch OFTM block my transfer :rotfl:)0 -

They quoted me (about two weeks ago):
Electric: day rate: 14.38p per kwh / night rate: 7.35p per kwh (Standing charge: 25.78p)
Gas: 2.668p per kwh (Standing charge: 26.85p per kwh)
It looks like a different plan. They only quoted me one plan ("Seven Heaven").0 -

Do they have 2 rates for electricity? You sure your talking about oftm??0 -

Good catch. So I'm signing up with Economy Seven Energy. Their web site shows a picture of a fox, and their standard email footer quotes that they are the trading name of FOXGLOVE ENERGY SUPPLY LTD. But it's not OFTM - this is their sister company. The difference is that E7E offer a night electricity rate, OFTM do not. The rates of the two companies are not linked (so says the person on their chat facility) and although OFTM is increasing its rates next month, E7E has no current plans (so says the person.....).
Hope this helps anyone as confused as me!0
