About to be fired for gross misconduct...need advise

I've worked there for 3.5 years and lately have been suffering from severe anxiety. I'm mentally dependant on alcohol to calm me down and stupidly drank alcohol during work hours due to feeling extremely anxious (along with taking some prescribed medication for physical effects of anxiety) both combined caused me to appear very intoxicated and they sent me home. I didn't intend to get into that state of course. I had to be taken to the hospital though. I have a disciplinary hearing in a few days and I'm expecting to be fired. My question is, will I be able to claim JSA afterwards?, I'm going to be in a very bad position otherwise. And how will this affect my future?. This job was just retail but I hold a degree and I'm now worried that I'll be unable to get any kind of professional well paid job because of this.

You might get sanctioned; but the JC will decide that.
As for the future; you will eventually be able to get a professional job. But I suspect it’s a few years of NMW jobs first.
The key issue is that your reference won’t be good for your next job.
Never, ever drink ANY alcohol on the job. Medication or not.0 -
Get a sick note.

This could be a blessing in disguise to be fair, as it may compel you to seek help for your dependencies.
I would recommend both:
- Attending your nearest AA meeting ASAP.
- Having a frank discussion with your GP ASAP.
If you do those two actions by your disciplinary then you *may* have a better shot keeping your job, if that is your aim. But even if you are resigned to being fired, the above course of action will set you up for your future career/jobs.And how will this affect my future?.
Depression and drug abuse doesn't generally lead to a positive future I'm afraid.I'm now worried that I'll be unable to get any kind of professional well paid job because of this.
Meh I have a gambling problem (which I've been managing for 3 years now I think, with GA's help) but this didn't stop me from getting a decently-paid job. The main reason you likely WON'T get any kind of professional well paid job will be due to the drug abuse, not strictly because of your past.0 -
I actually saw my GP today and told him about my job problems but he didn't seem too concerned, he just said good luck. But I see a different GP every time and Id never seen him before. I'd be lucky to get an appointment within a week, I had to wait a month to see this guy today.0

So what happened to it being downgraded to misconduct as per your previous thread

I kept my job after that (surprisingly), but I drank before work in that instance, this time I drank during work.0

So you paid no attention to the advice on that thread then0
-
So you decided to ignore all the advice on your last thread, which was about you turning up drunk to a disciplinary.0

No.I only have myself to blame0

I literally want to commit suicide. I've destroyed my life0
