My Champagne moment yesterday evening has left me effervescent with joy. :j:D

I went to see Motown The Musical yesterday evening and I had an amazing time. I was chosen from the audience to sing with the actress and singer Natalie Kassanga who was playing Diana Ross. It was only for 2 lines of the song Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand). The whole audience erupted in clapping, whistles and cheers when I started to sing. I will never forget my special moment in the spotlight. :j:D:T

It was a surreal moment having hundreds of people in Shaftesbury Theatre show me such a wealth of appreciation and approval. :D

    Wow, how impressive!:T

First day of Spring. Wahoo. :D. A glorious day here. Over the last couple of days I have been busy gardening, planting up shrubs. Fingers crossed they take and grow.

    Good morning everyone.......

How are you all. Well I am still living and loving the champagne lifestyle on my tiny lemonade budget. Life is very good right now. Just lazing in bed with my early morning coffee......how nice not to have to get up and rush out to work.

Yesterday was glorious here. Spring was definitely in the air, a foretaste of what's to come......lighter evenings, longer and warmer days. I spent a lovely afternoon in the garden. Planted some more shrubs.....about halfway there now.

After my exertions in the garden yesterday I spent a leisurely evening on the sofa watching films. First I tried to watch Aquaman but I guess I just wasn't in the mood so I gave up.

In The end I watched "The Handmaiden". It's a Korean film (although in English) set in the time of the Japanese occupation. Its not a film I would have normally chosen to pay to watch at the cinema but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

That's the beauty of subscription tv such as Netflix or whatever, you get the chance to see all sorts of different genres without having to pay the normal high prices for art house movies.

I love films that are quirky and original just as much as the usual blockbusters and whilst the big event movies are better watched on the big screen, I enjoy the smaller art house style films just as much on a tv screen, especially since I splurged on a nice big plasma TV.

I actually bought it for my husband when he was in the nursing home......his eye sight was compromised due to his illness so I bought him a nice big TV. My son has added a sound bar so actually it is very much like a cinema experience - and all in the comfort of my own home. :D

Going to do some more planting then meet a friend later. We're going to see Fishermen's Friends at the cinema.

The diet is still going well, enjoying lots of nice tasty meals and managing to steadily lose weight. What's not to like. :rotfl:

My Champagne moment on Wednesday was having a free ticket to see the show Frankenstein (The making of a monster) at Battersea Arts Centre. It is a musical show about beat boxing and singing a capella. 6 young people who were exceptionally talented had me mesmerised and captivated. :D:j

This show exceeded all of my expectations. I had so much fun. :D We even had some audience participation where we were all taught a little beat boxing. ;)

I was feeling very tired before the show, so I had thought of missing it but I am so very glad that I decided to go in the end because it was such a musical, dramatic show that I was completely wide awake and energised from the opening few minutes until the last musical beat. :D

On Thursday I had a relaxing day at home catching up with laundry, reading and watching television.

On Friday my Champagne moment was going to Odeon Covent Garden to watch the film The White Crow. I really found the ballet in the film and the music so moving. This film is centered on the story of how Rudolph Nureyev came to the decision to defect from his Russian roots to The West. I like the way that the film shows pivotal times in his childhood that eventually shaped him into the phenomenally talented world renowned ballet dancer that we all came to love and adore. I would give this film 8/10
  • Today will be spent catching up with my lovely friend, lunch out with a visit to IKEA and then off to see Fisherman’s Friend this afternoon.. A fab day planned, very excited and much needed :)

My Champagne moment today was getting on my bathroom scales to find that at last I have gone a pound under 16 stones. :j:D

Only another 13 pounds to reach my mini goal of 15 stones. ;)

My champagne moment was having a lovely lie-in followed by a bath with my reviving morning oil.

Lovely weather out there too. I'm going to eat my brunch outside.

Well done on breaking the weight barrier, SUgarbaby, onwards and downwards.....:T.

Madam Min.....I love Ikea. I definitely need a visit soon, I'm suffering from withdrawal symptoms. :rotfl:

The sun is streaming through my bedroom window, it's going to be a nice day. In fact the forecast is looking pretty good this week. I shall be out and about making the most of it. And I shall be out in the garden, planting, weeding. The trees and shrubs I have planted so far seem to be doing well. Hopefully I shall soon have a very pretty garden.

Still waiting on the odd job man to finish the kitchen floor before I can start decorating. I have been very busy in the meantime clearing the back bedroom so that I can remove the disgusting pink carpet in there. It looks as if it has been down for decades. Again hoping to get that room completely cleared this week.

Well yesterday was fab-u-lous. I cooked a feast for my family and we all sat round eating, drinking and making Merry. Hopefully I didn't do too much damage to my weight loss this week.;) I'll find out tonight,

I've got lots of nice treats planned this week. Haircut tomorrow, a couple of outings with friends, lunches, art gallery to see the Leonardo exhibition.

Gotta keep those champagne moments flowing......
