My Champagne moments yesterday evening were all about the party I went to. I had a fantastic time. I danced my legs off and felt really happy

hello my lovely friends...
Sugarbaby.....you look absolutely stunning. Gorgeous dress. Glad you had a good time.Quiet day here. I am actually a bit tired. Haven't slept too well This last couple of nights and it's catching up with me. So I'm afraid I've not done much at all. I'm going to cook myself a nice steak and some salad in a bit and then settle down with a nice film. Maybe a glass of wine to help me sleep. On a more positive note I am exercising every day now. Today I added tai chi and some resistance training with small hand weights to my routine. I definitely feel the benefit, I am feeling more flexible already. I'm even enjoying it. 😂🤣. Never thought I'd say that about exercise......8 -
Thanks LL.
It is actually a M & S skirt and a coast top that I am wearing.
I did make the effort to make up my eyes and also to layer my red door perfume with the matching shower gel, body lotion and body powder. I painted my toenails with a purple nail polish even though they were not going to be on show.
I was by far the oldest woman at the party. Most of the women were in their twenties or early thirties as were the men. I was only surprised because the man having the party is a DJ I have known for over 10 years and he is slightly older than I am.
I was also the fattest person at the party by far, but I was clean and tidy and I had made the best of myself, so I never let it make me feel uncomfortable.I was the best dancer at the party so I was not too surprised at being complimented on my dancing by one of the other women at the party.
I had to ask a girl with a smartphone to look up the address for me, as when I got off the bus, I was unsure where to go. Luckily I only had a 5 minute walk to the address. The young woman said 'you look lovely, where are you going?' When I thanked her for the compliment and told her I was going to a party she said 'I hope you have a good time'7 -
My Champagne moment today was taking receipt from the postman of the Ciate beauty set I bought for only £49.99 including delivery. I bought it just over a week ago using the code from the MSE weekly newsletter. This set currently sells for £397 on the Ciate website so I saved £347.01
I am keeping it for my older daughter's 39th birthday present in December. She is going to love this Ciate make up set.6 -
wow, that’s an amazing saving, sugar. I bet your daughter will be amazed with her gift.

LL and Chanie, my older daughter can never own enough make up as far as she is concerned and she likes a rainbow of colours so the Ciate Beauty set will be the best present I could give her. As there were only 2,700 sets available at £49.99 I did not think I would be one of the lucky buyers, but thankfully I was.
Mind you I am flabbergasted that there are women out there willing to spend £397 on a make up set4 -
I know it sounds incredible......I would want a series Of professional beauty treatments for that kind of spend. And ones that I couldn't do myself into the bargain. Maybe I'm just tight. 😂
Well hello my lovely friends....Quiet gentle champagne moments, mainly of the home grown variety, Books, music, films, pottering about. Picked up a couple of nice pieces of autumn knitwear From the Chazzer yesterday, a burnt orange sweater and an olive green cardigan. Determined to wear lots of colour this winter to keep me feeling cheerful. Chiro going well although it wipes me out sometimes. Yesterday I was exhausted after my treatment and spent much of the afternoon dozing in the sofa. I still slept for 8 hours last night so I'm not going to feel guilty - I obviously need the rest.Still building up the Zumba, Bollywood dancing and tai chi. I know it sounds mad to say this so soon but I can feel a distinct firming up and muscle toning going on. My legs ache like Billy O today so it's definitely doing something to them too. 😂. Also started some light hand weights To work on my arms.Sounds like a lot but I'm starting slowly and building up gradually, if I want to be Sensational at 70, living an active and exciting life then I need to be fit and strong. It looks like Covid is on the march again And I doubt very much if this winter will see me out and about very much Even if we don't have a full lockdown again so I'm determined to stay fit and healthy, even if I have to mainly exercise at home in front of the tv.Lovely day here So just about to potter in the garden.9 -
Hope everyone is ok?
We've been extremely busy over the past few days, mostly finishing jobs in the kitchen and doing more reconfiguration prep upstairs
Although it's been hard work, a few champagne moments have managed to sneak in too
The kitchen island surface is now fully micro-cemented and looks fab! We saved a huge amount a) by DIYing it and b) by taking the advice of the online chat chap who suggested buying several kits instead of one large package to save cash. Think we saved around £200-250 by doing it that way plus we have some components left over.....mind you mixing it up was like being back in the school chemistry lab, lol
I've been getting terribly dusty, removing layers of painted lime plaster and more recently-applied plasterboard in readiness to add a lintel and remove brickwork to create a new entrance to the main bedroom. It's a means to an end though and if it saves my poor DH some work, it's all good.
He's been working a few hours each evening after arriving home from his strenuous day job, so he's having a well-deserved day off today. We decided to treat ourselves to a spot of retail therapy/Christmas shopping and managed to pick up a few bargains at Homesense, including a superb clock for the kitchen chimney breast (£60 with a RRP of £260!!!), more copper pots (£90 down to £30) and some stocking fillers. We spent £145, saving a whopping £316
It's been a super sunny day with more good weather forecast which is great for DH but also means I'll be able to get back on with the gardening here. Walking round with the dogs earlier I noticed that of the 43 roses in our designated rose beds, 27 are still flowering/in bud.....which is great considering how wet/grim it's been of late!
Enjoy the sunshine/weekend/champagne moments!

two champagne moments today, both lunch and evening meal out. A trip to Boundary Mill with a friend from school, and a friend retired from school, followed by lunch in Bannys fish and chip restaurant, then dinner out with my Daughter. A rare day when you dont have to prepare anything!
