Managing to keep busy here too, despite the weather being back to normal (rain, lol!) the past couple of days. It's dry and sunny this afternoon after a very wet start to the day - but at least the plants have had a thorough watering. As a result everything in the garden - including the weeds - is flourishing. I'm so proud of our achievements - particularly outside - when I think of what we started out with

Apart from tending to my seedlings, during the damp days I've also been painting - finishing some areas of the hallway and making slow progress in the bathroom. Today I've been tackling the French doors from book room to front garden - they are going to look vastly improved from the dark mahogany stain (badly) applied by the previous owners, although most of my time was spent prepping by applying copious amounts of frog tape
I too am running low on paint - emulsion in my case - so am looking forward to the DIY dept of our local home store reopening middle of next week as F&B are taking 14-21 days to deliver at the moment.......
I've also been trawling through thousands of photos in an effort to get ready to post about our project, but it's taking longer than I'd expected.
Best champagne moment of the week was receiving loads of lockdown pics from our family in Brighton....can't wait to meet up with them once this is over!

WEDNESDAY Bon demand food, n her ball all the chuffin time at the mo 🙄I know She's still missing the Boys .Her breeder rang me the other day, asking if I wanted her Brother, as his owner is having to move, n can't keep him .I had to say no, as Bon would probably not accept him in the house. She's fine with pups, but not bigger dogs. He's such a babe though 😢

Aw, I don't mean to be annoying but I would never get a dog from a breeder as I'm vegan, but yes, sounds very cute.candygirl said:WEDNESDAY Bon demand food, n her ball all the chuffin time at the mo 🙄I know She's still missing the Boys .Her breeder rang me the other day, asking if I wanted her Brother, as his owner is having to move, n can't keep him .I had to say no, as Bon would probably not accept him in the house. She's fine with pups, but not bigger dogs. He's such a babe though 😢
My dog Molly doesn't like other female dogs at all!
She gets the right mood on with them! 5 -
I don't understand that Wednesday! What has being a vegan got to do with where you get a dog from?5

Vegans don't give money to breeders. Like I wouldn't give any of my money to pet shops, zoos, circuses that use animals etc... My pets are are all rescues. A lot of dogs/cats end up in rescue centres from breeders because they have "defects" and they can't sell them.joedenise said:I don't understand that Wednesday! I'm enjoying reading this book on early retirement. I don't think I said on this thread but I have decided we are going to retire April 2022 when I will be 46. This pandemic has made me prioritise what is important in my life and I want to leave London and move to the coast instead. The author has made list of activities/hobbies retirees can do so they don't get bored after leaving work. I have written out a list of 20 hobbies that I want to do and the idea is that you start doing them before you retire.

On a minor note I am really enjoying my new memory foam slippers I received from Amazon yesterday. They feel really springy compared to my old ones.
