My Champagne moments yesterday were going to Odeon Streatham using my Odeon Limitless card to buy a ticket to see The Goldfinch and going to Karaoke in the evening.

I enjoyed the film, but it was not exactly what I was expecting. It had a lot more scenes of drug taking than the trailers for this film had led me to believe and I felt that it was depicting drug use as a positive, enjoyable activity with no negative consequences. :( I was the only person watching the film so at least I could just sit back and enjoy the film in peace with no distractions. :D I would give this film 6/10

I went to Karaoke despite still suffering with my cold. I dosed myself up before leaving home and went and had a really enjoyable evening.:D I only sang 3 of my usual songs as there were so many other singers there. There were a lot of talented singers of different ages, but there were only 2 singers in their twenties. :D

  • Happy belated Birthday to Candygirl! Yankee candles are lovely.:A

I got my new faux leather armchair delivered today. I got it in a sale.:)

I also received a Slipknot top I had forgotten I ordered. It came from America so it took ages! I will probably wear it in bed as I got extra large.:rotfl:

My Champagne moments yesterday were going to Odeon Streatham using my Odeon Limitless card to buy a ticket to see Judy and going to Karaoke in the evening.

I absolutely loved this film. Rene Zellweger as Judy Garland is a powerhouse tour de force of a performance. :j:D Most impressive is that Rene does all of the singing in the movie and she had me spellbound from her 1st word both as an actor and as a singer. :T Rene brings so much emotion and pathos to her portrayal of Judy Garland in her twilight year as a performer, before her untimely death. :D I would give this film 10/10

I went to Karaoke despite still suffering with my cold. I dosed myself up before leaving home and went and had a really enjoyable evening. I only sang 5 of my usual songs as there were not many singers there, but I was up on my feet dancing with the DJ and by myself, because the vibe was so great. :D

Mr Ska is taking me out this afternoon! We are going on a date. A meal and a movie

Had the week off this week, but has not been all fun as little un has had a few issues (they have long term health issues) so the week has mainly revolved around that

But time for some fun this afternoon

AND not only that, I am meeting one of my best friends tomorrow for a cocktail afternoon. We normally start around 3pm and sit there putting the world to rights for a good few hours...but clubbers we are not, we normally end up home and in bed by 10pm
The opposite of what you know...is also true
