I bought a ticket with my Odeon Limitless card, but this time I had to pay an additional £5 for my Luxe recliner seat in the stalls, as I did not want to sit in the Circle as I suffer from vertigo.
Even though the story line was familiar to me, I still found the film fascinating because of the 'live action'. As Odeon Leicester Square has the only Dolby screen the picture definition and the sound is of a superior quality, which enhanced my viewing pleasure of this film. I would give this film 8.5/10
We're going to see that tomorrow.Looking forward to it"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I haven't caught up with this thread in a while. It's nice to read you are all having lovely champagne moments.:A
I have a bit of a cold and feel a little run down. I think it is due to the change of weather as it was so hot last week and now it is much cooler. It's blissful to feel cool again as I couldn't stand those temps!
I'm just going to have a relaxing and pampering day at home watching Real Housewives and taking it easy.:) I'm going to make myself a yummy roast dinner as I didn't feel like cooking yesterday.Sorry i've been MIA again.Loads going on , n i'm having tests for MS cos my mobility is awful, along with tremors in my hands n all sorts of other symptoms.Praying it's just stress related

Hi everyone......
I've had a great day - well apart from a little mishap.....more of that later. :rotfl:
But first the good stuff......my son popped round and put the final touches to my wardrobes. So pleased with them, they dont half gobble up "stuff". Everything is now so organised and tidy. :rotfl:
Switched my energy supplier and saved £211. Went through Compare the Market so now have the 2 for 1 deal. Wahoo.
Went to see "Yesterday" as planned. Lovely film.
Now......about that mishap........:eek::rotfl:
I had a prang in the cinema car park. I somehow managed to misjudge a weird curb thing that was jutting out and that has a drop of several feet on one side. Fortunately the car somehow got wedged on top of it and couldn't be moved without a tow truck. If I had been going any faster I would probably have ended up falling off the edge into the drop.
Anyway not only was I unhurt but it seems the car was unscathed too although I shall need to get it checked out before I drive it.
All my talk of not believing in angels.......I'd better take it back because there was certainly one looking out for me today.
Maybe not a champagne moment as such but certainly a happy ending.;)
Wednesday.....hope your cold gets better. Summer colds arent much fun.
I have never watched any of the Real Housewives. I'll have to give them a whirl.0 -

Eek, glad you were okay!:A
I feel a bit better today, it was just a little cold.
The Real Housewives is really entertaining, I don't watch much other reality TV apart from that.
Actually, I watch the Jersey Shore reunion programme.:p2025 GOALS

Hi everyone
,
I have been lurking for a few weeks ,and would like to join the thread please, for some support.
My DH sadly died five years ago,and I moved house three years ago. I didn't downsize ,bigger house, ginormous garden and lots to do,but I love it.
I've done (or rather had done!),kitchen, bathroom, utility room plus shower room, central heating renewed, new windows and two bedrooms decorated .Next on the list sitting-room and dining room, both of which will need re-plastering,though both are fine to live in.
I'm getting this done now whilst I've got the energy, just need to curb my spending and continue my saving plan,or rather get back on it.
That went haywire when youngest DD plus dogs came sofa surfing,( two months!) soon to be changed as she now has her own home to go to. So excited for her ,friends and family have provided enough furniture for a 2 bedroom house, everybody is so kind.
I'm good at reusing,up-cycling and have some okayish ideas for doing things, just the penny pot to replenish and I'm good to go.
I also love holidays, going away with family and friends, and being pampered.
Love all your posts0 -
Hello everyone......
Well, the car escaped Scot free, no damage. Lucky or what. So I decided that I wouldnt make a claim off my insurance and will just pay tow truck fee myself, so as to protect my bonus.
Yes, quite a few people found it funny which of course it was really, I just felt stupid. The cinema manager came out and We had quite a laugh. He said I wasn't the first person to come a cropper and that it was definitely a stupid arrangement but because it was on private land rather than the public highway and the cinema company weren't prepared to cough up to sort it out there wasn't much to be done. Some bollards would help though, or even those plastic cones.
Poor you, getting stuck in the bath like that, hope you are ok hun.Enjoy your meal. I could murder a good curry. :rotfl:
Last night, after the incident, we still went to the cinema and I really felt in need of sustenance. I too thought sod the diet so had a cookie dough ice cream.
Hello Mrs Snowy. Yes I remember you posting before because my husband died nearly 5 years ago too, and your story resonated with me because we are in the same boat and more or less the same time frame.
Sounds like you have done really well with your house refurbishment. I think It helps a bit to have a project to sink your teeth into. I moan a bit when I get tired or when progress seems a bit slow but I am enjoying it.
Of course you can join our little gang.....the more the merrier.
I'm tired today and my neck is a bit sore and stiff, in fact my body hurts today - partly the shock of the accident I think, so I'm going to have a nice long soak in the bath tonight and I've booked a massage for Thursday to iron out some of the kinks.
A quiet night in with a sofa throw and watch something nice on the box. A nice early night. Builder here tomorrow so lunch out with a friend to get out of his way..

My Champagne moment yesterday was buying a ticket to watch the film The Intruder at my local Odeon with my Odeon Limitless card.
There was plenty of action in this film and shocks as it was a psychological thriller, but unfortunately I found the film extremely predictable.I had guessed the whole premise of the film and the story line within minutes of the film beginning and as a consequence the film did not capture all of my attention.
I would give this film 6/10
