It's not like depositing at the bank, Post Office now send the cheque to the bank for them to process.
I'd allow several working days for the cheque to appear in your account, and up to four working days for the cheque to clear.0 -

Depending on the cut off time of that particular branch of the PO, it should appear in your account either today 10th or on Monday
Per page 36 of the Personal banking T&Cs0 -

Don't worry about the receipt showing 0.00. That's normal for the post office!0 -
Moving this topic forward a bit...After 53 years of being a TSB account holder, and having my local branch closed in Burscough (where I lived for 25 years), then all Southport branches closed post-Lloyds merger & separation, I now find my nearest branch in Ormskirk has closed too - meaning my closest branch is Maghull. that's fifteen miles away. I now find the following problem when trying to deposit a cheque using TSB's option of the Post Office. I present the cheque & deposit slip - only to be told by the rather abrupt counter staff that this isn't possible because I need a TSB envelope from the bank. I check on the TSB website. TSB don't supply envelopes anymore - they tell you that the Post Office supply them. So I go back to the Post Office, still with the cheque and deposit slip and try to explain this minor point. This fails miserably, as the counter staff is even more abrupt with her reply. Apparently, the Post Office do not hold any paying-in envelopes for TSB customers. A quick check of the Post Office website reveals that they DO supply TSB paying-in envelopes. Can someone please tell the counter staff at 3 different Post Offices in Southport, because none of them believe me!! Honestly, this is ridiculous. Southport has a population of 90000, and used to have 4 TSB branches. Now there are none. I have no branch facilities within 15 miles and the Post Office 'solution' doesn't work. Why should I still bank with TSB?0

Why not just post your cheque to TSB & save all the hassle ??

Make a formal complaint?

Switching banks is a dodle these days, just give a few basic details to your new bank, and everything’s done within around a week. All payments to and from the old account are automatically forwarded (except some card payents such as Netflix).0
