You have already dropped yourself in it by telling the world who was driving the car in your opening post.

    Thanks, edited ;)

You don't have to prove when you parked. At a hearing, your word as a witness is enough.

That photo would be better if taken in darkness!

If I go & photograph the sign at night, can I put that in my eventual defence?

No, but you can submit it as evidence to back up your Defence.

With your Witness Statement, yes, as you know from bargepole's post in the NEWBIES thread, bout what happens when!

Nothing goes with the defence, where these things are stated but not evidenced till the later stage.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hi again,

So I'm due to send off my response today to the LBC, been busy with work so I haven't been able to yet.

Interestingly, I received a text message from 'GLADSTONES' yesterday saying I need to pay to avoid court, how have Gladstones got my mobile phone number? I did not appeal to the original PCN & they are yet to receive any correspondence from me. Is this something the DVLA provide along with the initial information or are Gladstones up to something shady here?

I don't remember ever providing the DVLA with my phone number
  • No, they just use a five minute search to find your mobile number. Its obvious how to do so.
  • Sorry, its obvious how to do so? I don't know how to find somebodies mobile number from their name.

    How is that done?
  • By using systems commercial entities have access to, but which you do not
Same as they can trace your current address.

I won't be don't worry. What I'm interested in (especially post GDPR) is the legality of Gladstones using my personal info to dig up my mobile number. I've searched various different variations of my name, address & post code in online databases & my mobile number is not listed anywhere.

They're clearly complete cowboys. Once this court case is over, I'll be petitioning my local MP to look into there behavior as they obviously think they're above the law.
