The problem is that the ad card is a smart card (i.e. with a chip rather than a magnetic strip). So, whilst there are central records of your points balance, the points themselves (if you were to think of them as actual 'things') are stored on your card.

This means that in order to add or remove points from the card, the card needs to be physically inserted in a machine of some form (hence why points for purchases online and customer service additions are added via the ACM). Also, this is why when you don't have your card, you have to get the receipt validated and take it with you next time.

Now, while these systems work fine for giving us points (we're willing to go to the ACM to get points added), Boots can't really work a 'trust' system that relies on you going to the ACM to get your points subtracted after making a purchase online.

There's no limit on how many of the vouchers you can redeem...I often use both vouchers from my ad card and DM's. They just need to be put through in seperate transactions i.e. only one of each freebie in each transaction. It's the ACM itself that is responsible for stopping you abusing the offer...you'll find you can only print your voucher once.

Now i have got the following coupons :-
2000 ad points on oral -b
500 ad points olay total effects
500 ad points wys £50.00 with high street vouchers
double points coupon
free changing bag
free trevor sorbie mini
free tony&guy mini
free 17 perfect pout lip liner WYB 17 lipstick


I have also got :-
200 ad points wys £20.00 or more (from mailing)
350 ad points wys £30.00 or more (acm)

Can I use the ACM one with the mailing WYS coupon and are the acm WYS coupon only valid for the day it was printed???

Sorry for the questions, quite new at this bootsing business!!!! LOL

Also need to work out points I would get back , I think would be roughly 3700??

Why don't you buy all that on the christmas evening and get another 1000 points for a £50 spend.

CS haven't got records of our transaction.I only just called them monday cos I didn't get the 1000 points when spending £20 on Olay last Sunday(Last day the offer was on)Didn,t notice till later and I was last one in shop as they closed.Was told they they couldn't help:mad:As anyone could make such claim. Just told me to return it.Did so today.

T&Cs state only one WYS coupon per transaction, however I don't think the till enforces this (it might do if they're both from ACM though e.g. from two different cards), rather it is up to the SA, who is entirely in their right to refuse to put both through.

I did this accidently once...had printed off a load of tokens from ACM and had some from mailing. I just handed over a stack of coupons and must have included both total spends in it, as I ended up getting two lots of total spend points on my receipt.

My advice...head for an xmas temp

Yes, and yes (although it may be worth handing them over one by one at end of transaction before paying...SA's can get flustered on xmas shopping evenings and mess up vouchers...u wouldn't want to miss any of the offers)

No, I'm afraid not, you don't get any points when you spend points, and you can't use your £2 haircare or freebie minis either.

I've just been sorting out my vouchers printed the other day for the T&G freebie, I printed them off while they were on the machine in case they disappeared Now I have 5 haircare vouchers to use them with (wombled 3 of those ) and I've just realised that none of the ACM vouchers have names on any more .
