emily this has been mentioned a few times and some threads have been closed down due to too much "chatter, off topic" it will never happen that the thread will keep to "just boots offers, glitches etc"
believe me I know!!!!!!!!!!
(it seems the mods these days turn a blind eye to such "chatter")

Emily123 this is what we are like over here on the Boots thread and we are known as one of the friendliest boards on MSE this is what we do over here we share details of our bargains and always have general chit-chat about how we all are etc..IMO it's the chit chat that makes this forum the best!!(with the bargains and gliches in hot pusuit of course:))
I don't think it is very polite of you to come onto the thread and tell us how/what we should be posting!! Long before you were here and even long before i was here(though i watched for a long time before joining)this is the way the Boots thread has been!
Maybe you should give the board a chance before criticising i have had many fantastic bargains from this board:D(too many to name)
I'm not having a go and this is just my view!!;) Please give it a go! trust me the Boots thread becomes addictive and i mean really addictive!!:D

hi, sorry if this comes out wrong, but have just discovered this thread, been able to read a few pages but kids are calling for Mammy, haven't time to read more tonight, my question is, does all boots branches have a 75% and 90% sale and is there any way to know when they start? I live about 40 miles away from my Boots branch, so can't really keep popping into check. Any help would be great, sorry again if I sound really dumb

Seem to remember reading in an earlier post that 75% is from 15 Jan and 90% from 29 January.

Wise words, and I'm paying attention, I promise. I've saved a fortune following this and other threads here!

I did pop into my local Boots (Fort Kinnaird, Edinburgh) yesterday after I'd survived the one hour long Next queue...but I didn't buy anything. 50% off items that were 3-for-2 last week isn't that great a deal. So though I was in Ocean Terminal and Princes St also, I didn't bother with Boots.

Tell you one thing I got half price just before Christmas though...the No7 heated eyelash curler, for £5. Well worth buying, especially if you have short fine eyelashes like me. It makes an amazing difference to your lashes!

And just to say i love this thread i dont contribute often but quite happy to sit back and see al the bargains everyone gets without the chat it just wouldnt be the same;)

Just to add re having to trawl through the chat to try and find out what's happening, if you check the 1st post Crazyposhgal does an amazing job at keeping that up to date with all the current offers/glitches etc (including all the regular questions).

the point as you call it can mainly be found on the first page as one fantastic person puts all the glitches and bargains on there so mabey you can just check on there daily if you dont want the chit chat

Hi bootsers!
A question from a novice does anyone know what the returns policy is on unwanted gifts which aren't Boots-branded? I have a Chanel eau de toilette which I got for xmas, which is gorgeous, but I already have 2 bottles of the eau de parfum for the same fragrance which I'm working my way through! Would they be able to exchange it for other goods or, better yet, points on my Adv card/giftcard? I'm 99% sure it would have been bought at Boots but obviously can't prove it and can't ask for the receipt!
