went to boots this morning, and bought..................nothing
will wait till the 75% i think ;)

i know.....i wasnt even tempted to uy anything (which is quite scary)

they have lots of gift sets on half price, and there is a big notice saying "please be informed that there are no current 3 for 2 promotions running in store. all gift with a green sticker are excluded from this promotion" (this doesnt make any sense to me). ..but oh well...

i might just be tempted if it was on 3 for 2. which works out to be 75% off. will just have to wait for 75% sales. :rotfl:
  • I fell a bit ill.......just spent £67 in points!
    Still I did get.....
    Sis in laws present
    2 teachers presents
    2 mothers day presents
    3 nieces presents
    4 friends presents
4 childrens presents (for kids partys)
Got stella perfume, dove gift sets, loads of wine charms (love them), mister mascara (for me..well you have to treat yourself!), no7 gift sets, 4 hungry hippos( travel size)!
    Well happy with my lot!
    :money: Martin Lewis Rocks!:money:
  • I thought the P&P set was good value. I've run out of the beauty serum so needed some anyway. The gift box also includes a 200ml bottle of the body serum, which sells at £25 ( according to lady on till ). The gift set also includes a hair band & only cost £17 now it's half price ! :j
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)

last year there wasnt loads left in the 90% sale. My best advice is :

IF theres something you really wanted before xmas and will be upset if you dont get it then BAG IT IN THE 50% SALE

If theres things you like and dont mind what it is but might be useful for someone for gifts or youself BAG IT IN THE 75% SALE

If you have time go and see whats left in the 90% sale buut at this stage its quite hit & miss

    HTH you all :)

Very good advice, methinks. Last year, I did find the 90% Sale very useful for gift hampers, though - picked up lots of bits & bobs for pennies, which were great in Gift Hampers for Birthdays, Xmas etc. Likewise surplus goodies from the glitches - let's hope there's loads more of those in 2008!!!

i was given 3 coffee dead sea source bits for xmas but i really can't stand the smell of coffee :( and they look so lovely. does anyone know if i will be able to exchange them for one of the other fragrances?

    thanks

that shouldn't be a problem they treat it as unwanted gift

Talking about this i'm  when i gave someone a gift at xmas , and they say right in front of me "Oh this can go straight back to boots"

How much would they get back if it was £10,and there is a half price sale on. Would they get only £5 back, as i'm very bitter over it!.

I'm feeling a bit gutted - can't get to the sales at the moment as I have a heavy cold, but went online today only to discover that the two things I really desperately wanted, a Sanctuary gift set and the Ted Baker Kitted You Out gift set, are both sold out.

Hopefully there will be some left in store at Sutton, Kingston or Croydon when I finally manage to get out of the house....

Went down this morning, not much at all.
Got 2 pepper mills and a cup for birthday gifts. They were below a big sign stating 3 for 2, but never got the 3 for 2. I did query it and was told everything was half price which made the 3 for 2 now invalid and I pointed out that they were directly below said huge sign but the SA just apologised.
Surely that is false advertising? The only terms I could see on the sign were 'due to availability'.
    :(

I would have only got 1 pepper mill if I had known.
    Dream of being mortgage free....
