You'll get the points for the whole transaction, e.g. if you're returning something that costs, say, £5, and you exchange it for something that costs £10, you'll get points for £10 (and incidentally any vouchers they do, like £5 No7 or £2 haircare when they do them).
Yeah you'll get the points for the £10 spend.......after the till automatically removes the points for the £5 item you're bringing back. It's not like you'd be getting £15 worth of points eg. the till removes 20 points, then adds 40 points meaning (as it will show on your reciept) you only get 20 points.
The new system is in place simply to stop people "stealing" points.0 -
Ok sorry, no new tills where I live then0

Sorry that this won't help anyone, unless there are other xmas events, but it will just remind us of the fact that it is worth trying all the coupons you can think of and see if the till beeps.
Spent £150.82 on the xmas event at oxford street, london. Got:
- regular points: 596
- offer points: 3000 + 100 (benefiber coupon)
- double points coupon: 604
- kiosk offer points: 350 (acm voucher for wys - when you spend- £35)
So both the double points and the wys worked along the xmas event points.
I got some topup vouchers to get the total to 150, so top-ups are also eligible.
I guess it is always worth a try!! Especially, if like me, you are paying at the photography counter
On a less happy note, I was counting on bringing home a goodie bag (I simply love samples). I asked around to several SA, and noone had heard of that ever, I got those blank stares. Then I asked a manager near the perfume counter and I got the reply: "we are already doing the extra points offer today" and when I insisted that this is normally samples and bags, she said that those are for the people who buy the giftsets - while the younger SAs were opening sample packs like mad behing her. I think she could have simply volunteered to offer me some samples. After all, I had just spent £150. I guess she saw a tired plain looking person with a Boots bag full of cotton pads (the ipod was in my bag) and wouldn't even bother with offering me some samples. And English not being my mother tongue, I decided not to say I had already spent 150 (which compared to a 30 gift set should have entitled me to at least a couple of samples).
Oh, well. Nice shopping overal. No food or drink to be seen, though it did not make a difference for me anyway.
But did anyone happen to get a goodie bag at oxford street?
PS: This might be useful to someone on this forum: Managed to get my biotherm body lotion (voucher from zest) from selfridges, after being told at debenhams they were the only ones stocking them.0 -

Model Me shampoos, conditioners and styling products are 3 for the price of 2 at the mo - cheapest free.
However there is a ACM coupon for a free Model Mee Styling Product when you buy a shampoo and conditioner!
Here's my receipt:
Bdry Liquid £6.49 (styling product)
HC Shampoo £5.99
HC Conditioner £5.99 now 0.00
Saving £5.99
Save:
Includes prev HC Cond
Includes previous Bdry Liquid
Saving £6.49 now - £6.49
So paid £5.99 for ! Model me Shampoo, 1 model me Conditioner and 1 Model me Blow drying Spray!
I only got one coupon on my card!
This is the range found by Toni and Guy and avertised by Jamelia, Helena Christinson etc..
Hope that helps!
