I would not buy that house design on ANY plot. Your Lounge is at the front, i.e not overlooking or opening onto your garden, but looking out onto the road at the front.

We have North South house with living room north.

Love it, stays cool in the summer, we don't sit looking out the window most of the time sitting chatting or watching tv.

If you have it open onto the garden you can end up with too many doors to layout furniture and TV.

We use the rooms at the back(South facing into the garden) with patio doors when we want outside time.

A lot easier for eating in/out when the kitchen & dining is near the BBQ and outside seating.

Internal single garage is my no-no uses up too much ground floor space.

Why would you want a lounge that opens to the garden? That would just result in mud, grass and dirt staining the carpet.

Kitchens have wipe floors and are much better suited as access to the garden. Not to mention making it more convenient to host BBQs, serve food etc.

Lastly, a south/south-west facing lounge will be unbearably hot in the evening when you are most likely to spend time in there.

During the heat wave my north east facing lounge gets sun from early in the morning to late morning but that doesn't bother us as the curtains are closed or we are at work. At dusk it was the coolest room in the house making it a fantastic refuge from the scorching garden or warm kitchen. :)

In the mornings it was the opposite. Having breakfast in a cool kitchen or garden was a relief after a hot night.

Looking out to the main road isn't bad as it allows you to people watch, see who's ringing the bell etc.

Plot 2 doesn’t share the drive with plot 1, plot 1 have two parking spot on the top left corner

I am assuming the poster meant that Plot 1 and Plot 2 share the same driveway to reach the parking spaces for each plot i.e. it is privately owned, not an adopted road. This could potentially cause access or parking problems in the future if you end up with a neighbour from hell.

    Excellent point!

The buyer of Plot 1 is likely to attract someone who need space for two private cars AND two trade vans or ice cream van! :D You don't want a neighbour who will clutter up the view from your house with numerous vehicles.

For that reason I would not buy Plot 2.
