Out of contract but wont upgrade me?

has anyone every come across this before, im out of contract and t-mobile wont upgrade me!?!!??! they wont even let me pay for a phone?
i have a friends and family discount but as far as im aware they will offer rubbish upgs on this (ie the phones are expensive) but they will let you upgrade, they just wont with me,
seems really silly, im not even sure what phone i want
have my PAC code but to be honest i dont want to loose the discount as i cant really match the deal anywhere else without cashback

realise its a good deal and i can just buy a paug phone but just baffled as ive never heard of it before, even the upgrades team werent sure whats happening,

TMobile have overspent this years budget by £20 million pounds this year and as the industry is run by accountants, and their end of year is December 31st they need to cut costs.

They have decided that the best way is to not give as high a value to lower spending customers until the beginiing of next year, when they will have the full budget back.

The retentions staff I have spoken to are up in arms, as they will not hit bonuses, and every time a customer leaves they get penalised in terms of their bonus.

This is purely a cost custtiong measure for a couple of months, and in the new year it should be back to normal.

Most of my customers are high value, or Businesses so this hasnt affected them, but lower spenders i.e: bringing in less than £25 a month are being affected.

As you are on staff plan or family and friends I would just ride it out for a couple of months.

Did you know that every time you call customer services your value gets reduced.

im !!!!!!ed then, was ringing every few days to find out when the k850i was being released, ..and i dont want it any more,

will be forced to wait untill next year anyway i guess, havent got any way of matching that deal anywhere else.

can you not go to orange and get the 40% discount? i had this with t-mobile so canceled my contract, it was someyhing to do with the dealer discount being applied, they offered me an e250 free!!!!

is it not in your t&c about your elgibility to u/g?

i thought they say when your are out of contract you can get a free upgrade, depending on handset cost price.

have a browse of the t&c in the upgrade/renewal section, then if to your advantage... quote them it

orange friends and family is rubbish, 10% off not 40, i was getting 50% off with t-mobile
killed it when the link staff joined as they had 40% off orange whilst we got 10%, new customers get a better deal than we do
i can understand them not offering me a good upgrade but no upgrade!? dont they want my money

wouldt know where to find the f+f t&cs i originally just got a new contract few weeks later a friend changed it to f+f never recieved anything in the post/information and dont talk to that friend really any more,
maybe will ring them and ask for a copy, im sure it will have the word discretion in there somewhere though

i don't get it, where do you work? we get 40% off. have you got an orange rep? she just gave me a form and i faxed it off. t-mobile have discontinued the discount and want everyone off it due to it being abused by staff adding it to customers accounts to get a sale.

for orange retail, 3rd party resellers get 40% off we get 10%
main reason is because we get liberate i think, A free phone and free calls to oranges. non upgrades unless you pay for line rental (£5 or £10pm)
know t-mob had stopped it last year for a while didnt know it was permanent

thing is the way i put it to them was
£17.50 x 18 = 315 + any extra e.g. if i go abroad
my last 18 even though my line rental was £315 i must have spent at least £450 - £500 in total due to roaming and going over on some random months.
thats a hell of a lot of money and im paying it to them when i barely use half the amount of minutes most months, so im paying them for a service im not even really using! they 'understood where im coming from'
