    Grindley Hill court, stoke-on-trent ST4 6TA,
How did the driver get 4 PCNs and is this a Business park or something? Why no permit?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • This is a private hospital accommodation. The driver is one of the doctors at the hospital. Before parking he had discussed with colleagues who live there and was told parking is on first come , first serve basis. The driver had been parking there along side numerous other collleagues for months without getting any warnings. Then suddenly around mid July charges were sent. He can't even remember if the notice was there all along or was put up in July.

So are they saying that the car was not permitted to be in this car park, because that section was only for patients, or what?

I received a claim form from court county business court...
You have received a claim form from the County Court Business Centre.

    Please get terminology right.
The further into this you get the more important the detail.

    Date of claim- 31/10/18.
With a Claim Issue Date of 31st October, you have until Monday 19th November to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox link from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

Having done the AoS, you then have until 4pm on Monday 3rd December 2018 to file your Defence.

About four weeks. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but don't leave it to the very last minute.

When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:
      Print your Defence.
    1. Sign it and date it.
    2. Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
    3. Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    4. Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
    5. Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defended". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
    6. Do not be surprised to receive a copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to put you under pressure.
    7. Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.
  • It was only for the residents/occupants of the accommodation.
  • There are 4 PCNs.
    Thank you...terminology noted.

I will need help with putting up a good defence.

I will need help with putting up a good defence.
    And that help is here.

To find it, read the post I linked you to earlier.
  • Thank you.
  • In reading the sample appeal/defence letter, there is part that says parkingeye should provide images etc. The thing is, they actually sent me an image of the car entering and leaving the parking area.

Do I still use that paragraph in my defence/appeal?

And please is it okay to go with POPLA appeal or mine is different?
  • What's this?
