How to change post office direct debit for savings account?

I set up a post office online saver to generate a direct debit for a current account in order to get the interest on that account. All good so far.
Due to where we were at in the month i had to have the D/D somewhere near the end to set it up in time. We got in to the next month and my OCD kicked in and so i went to set up the D/D to be on the 1st of the month thinking (wrongly it turns out) it'd replace the existing D/D.
So now there's 2 D/Ds on the account - 1 at the start of the month & 1 at the end of the month.
I've logged in to my Post Office Savings account to try and cancel the one at the end of the month but can't find the option to do this. I'm not sure if there is one, if i'm missing it or what. All i can see is basically the option to set up more direct debits.
So how to cancel specific ones?

After login, on the initial Account Summary page, click on the 3 dots on the account line you want to cancel the DD on. Click "Direct Debit" in the drop down box. Click on the line of the DD that you want to cancel, this should "ungrey" the "Cancel Direct Debit" button … and away you go.0

I've just been taking a closer look at the accounts and it seems i've been living under a rock.
All these accounts i have scattered around requiring direct debits when the highest paying one is 1.5% anyway (aside from the TSB ones).
Rather than all that i could just dump the whole lot in that 1 Marcus account & save myself a whole load of hassle as far as needing direct debits go.0 -
No problem JAS … glad it helped.
Marcus is great for simplicity at 1.5%, but there is still something to be said for those CA's needing DD's to get 5%, 3% etc and/or allow you to have access to RS's at 5% (which is equivalent to about 2.7% over a year).
The PO's are good for DD's and Marcus is good as the feeder account for the above and for the 1.5% after you've filled the higher paying CA's and RS's0 -

My wife & I have 4 TSB accounts between us, so that's £6k on 3% is it? 5%? I can't remember now. :rotfl:
I believe Tesco do something like a 3% one but want 1000 direct debits? Exaggeration obviously but point is they want a lot of effort put in.
I'll keep the Club Lloyds accounts active as that generates me 24 free cinema tickets per year but i think this Marcus is going to be something i need to open up today0 -

Didn't you say you had a PO account?
So why settle for 1.5% when you can have 3%?...on up to £12K between you.0 -

Instead of cancelling one, just add another. Simples:p0 -

I've just checked now and yes it says 3 (i thought it was more than that actually).
I'm so used to these days it having to be 3 separate ones. So it can be the same one 3 times? So i could pick any of my 4 PO Savers and set up 3 direct debits to the Tesco account from the 1 PO saver account?
If the answer to that question is yes then my next question is the £750 that needs crediting each month - does it have to be from a non-Tesco account or can it be from a Tesco account? (What i'm thinking here is if both I & the wife have one then one can pay the other).0 -
