I've also got a count of the various pots that I found in my son's house while sorting it after his untimely death at 48 in September.
There was a sweet tin with mainly 1 and 2 pence pieces in it, an after eight tin with bags of silver in them, two smaller tins with just the odd coin in it and a dish on the sideboard with a few coins in it.
There was also a pot of £1 and £2 coins behind a cushion which he'd showed me just a few days before - he said he used this when he needed something from the shop at the local garage. His wallet yielded £5.
In total, he had £202.17 including a few old pound coins.
He wasn't in the challenge, but I wanted to acknowledge that he was doing what we all on here do, in memorium.
