Yes, it is great. They carry entirely different stock to the pound shops as well and I have got some real bargains.

I have mentioned it before, however, as it is relevant, I'll mention it again. :)

For FREE waterproof, tearproof, padded jiffy bags, do as follows.

    1. Get your bags from Royal mail as suggested.

    2. Head to your local Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys, etc, and go to the fruit section. There you will find that the layers of fruit are all separated with lovely handy sheets of bubble wrap, there should be heaps of it, help yourself, it's free to collector, and the staff will thank you for "disposing" of it for them. If you find a friendly member of staff, they'll even keep it to one side for you to "recycle". :D

    3. Bubble wrap and bag. :D

I ask all my friends and family to keep any jiffy envelopes that they get and just re-use them. Think I might use Shelly's tip and try and get some off Royal Mail.
2p off is still 2p off!

If you phone Royal Mail on this number....0845 7950950....you can ask for Special Delivery bags (think they call them poly bags??) they come in packs of 50 and there are 3 sizes...I think they are A3,A4 and A5.These aren't padded bags but good for sending clothes or soft items in.You can have as many of them as you like...they ask you for a company name but I just made one up.When you receive them they have special delivery written all over them but we turn them inside out and then they are just a plain grey poly bag.One word of warning though. When you go to PO ask them to put the machine printed stamps on the bag and not lickable ones as they fall off.Its best to write on them with a permanent marker too so its visible. We have 100 of each size at a time,no questions asked. And the cost of these......FREE...:D

I got this tip from another thread quite sometime ago so thanks to whoever was OP then.

And you should be able to use this number: 01752 387112 (business customer services - will transfer to the required dept) instead of the 0845 number to get a cheaper call using 18866(according to the saynoto0870.com website).

When you call you are given 6 options. You need option 3 which is ordering stationery items. This puts you through to a person rather than a machine asking your details. They ask if they can help you and you tell them you would like some Special Delivery bags please! If I remember correctly they ask your Name, address and company name (I made one up) They ask what size you want and how many of each.Usually I say 100 of each size please! If you want to know sizes they will tell you.I think its A3,A4 and A5.They usually come within a couple of days and are delivered by a courier and it helps if someone is at home as obviously they won't fit through your letter box.:D
