Buying from unknown websites?

Posted in this forum as maybe this could come under the 'Warnings' section of it?
My wife is looking at a fitness tracker watch & in the high street it's anything from about £215-£250 depending on which model you get.
Have a look online & the model that costs about £250 in the high street can be bought from some website i've never heard of before (techinthebasket.com) for £190.
Now i've bought from unknown websites before & i have a 50/50 record. The first time i did it was a car stereo for just shy of £200 & it's worked out fine. The second time was a games controller for about £15 and i ended up with Chinese crap.
I'd imagine that due to the cost it would be better using a credit card? Maybe better even still using a credit card through PayPal? Or would that make zero difference as far as protection goes?
Just due to the amount i'm a bit unsure. If it's all legit then great but i thought i'd see what others think first this time.

I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. The Contact address is rented office accommodation. There's no phone number. The standard of English suggests it is not written by a resident. The website registration is hidden behind a GoDaddy address.0

The one in question: https://www.techinthebasket.com/catalog/product/view/id/6305?gclid=Cj0KCQjwguDeBRDCARIsAGxuU8Y3Di_ENF8HzpeHtrXUqVL_LgFLt6JO7yRlf_VKm-mc4Nu3so6ZXLoaAtSWEALw_wcB
That's the one she'd ideally like although she wrote it off as it's about £250 in the high street.
So she was looking at the following as an alternative...
https://www.tecobuy.co.uk/en_UK/garmin-vivoactive-3-gps-smartwatch-with-contactless-payments-and-wrist-based-heart-rate-black-with-silver-hardware-010-01769-b0-1.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwguDeBRDCARIsAGxuU8bKTV6HEid3eIOwW9xVcltqDIhAufoSRj9ilL1FBD0V56E-s237qF4aAoA_EALw_wcB
^^ different website to techinthebasket.com i know but still unknown (to me) all the same.
That ones £215 in town.
Just weighing up whether to take the hit & pay the high street prices. If the goods on these websites are legit & they arrive as they should then all is well, but when you don't know the names it's a bit of a costly if for £50.
And what on earth is godaddy? It sounds like it's a XXX site :-/0 -
Actually forget that tecobuy website. I just clicked the contact us link on their site...

I've been stung once before by them lot. Not again. I thought the layout of the website looked familiar.0 -

Read far worse on here lets be honest.
Ive always wondered why they dont just give an english person a few quid to get a better description and thus more people falling/buying from them.0 -

To be honest i read it & thought it wasn't that bad. I've read much worse. Maybe i was expecting a glaringly obvious vewy vewy sowwy type. Oh well.0

I bought some earrings on Amazon marketplace from an unknown firm in China. The delivery was estimated to be 3 weeks and I knew it could be dodgy. The earrings arrived after 2 weeks and they are rather sweet. Won't last forever but they cost 1p plus a modest amount of p & p, I think it was about 80p.
I have bought more earrings from 3 different firms in the Far East and they are all lovely. One pair are silver plated are are really beautiful.
Whether I would use an unknown firm for something that cost £200, not sure.0
