Hard Search made by Atos

Hi there,
I'm a newbie to the site looking for some advice. Hope I'm in the right area, apologies if not.
Today I signed up to Creditwise through my Capital one account and whilst looking through my file I noticed a Hard Search was made on the 12th June 2018. It's listed as a 'Director Credit Search' and was made by a company called ATOS ORIGIN IT SERVICES UK LTD.
To my knowledge I haven't applied for any credit and the only information I can find about Atos is linked to the DWP. I dont claim benefits. Bit confused about it all and would really appreciate some advice how to find out who authorised the search.
Thanks in advance
P.

Have you applied for trade accounts through any business you have an involvement with?
  • No i haven't applied for any trade accounts
  • Is there a way to find out the source of the search? Would my first point of contact have to be with Atos?

Capital one creditwise seems to provide information held by Equifax. You can dispute the search with them here:

Check the other credit agencies (Experian and Callcredit) and also raise a dispute with them too if you see the unauthorised search there also.

Yup they carry out assessments for fitness to work for benefits claimants as a government contractor.
  • Thanks I shall do that with Equifax. I use Noddle also but the search by Atos does not appear there. Is noddle linked to experian or callcredit?

Amongst many, many, many other activities. That's just the one they are notorious for.

Are you or have you ever been a director of or other significant person in a company or other organisation ?
