    They won't do a hard search no.

    And even if they did, one hard search won't matter and really your file is there to be searched!

    Can I ask What is the highest AmEx limit you can have. is there a capping limit on these folks.

    There's no published limit.

    Amex automatically offered a 40% increase of the initial limit after 3 months of membership. The initial limit was quite generous to begin with.

    I had only one card (£950 limit) when I applied for a BA, amex gave me £8k, I didn’t expect this limit with my thin credit file.

    No hard searches. Put in what you want, if they don’t offer that they offer lower limit.

    Mine is £13.8k

    One of my friends has a 75K limit on his Plat card.

    The Charge Cards work different to the Credit Cards that Amex offer in terms of "limits".
