  • Weigh in for me today and I lost another 2 lbs!
I had a big night out on Friday which I'm guessing will show on next week's weigh in so I've done a lower syn menu plan for this week hoping to minimize any damage!

Sunflower, I hope you pick up soon.

H, Scrimps, pleased to meet you.

As log as they’re plain, I’ll fight you for those crisps, beanie! :D

I made ice cream tonight too, bubbs – we’re having visitors tomorrow, so It won’t all be mine (although I have to confess to licking the paddle – just to check it was ok, you understand :p).

Well footie was rubbish today – snatched a draw after being 2-0 up! Felt like a defeat. Back at the bottom of the table. Grrr!:mad:
Not with yoghurt i hope? as its a solid lump next day:( voice of experience

Surely it is too cold for you to eat ice cream?
No we have it every day:p

You get a draw and call that rubbish. I'll show you real rubbish!:D

Welcome scrimps. It's perfectly possible to follow the plan without going to a group although new books will be out soon and if you can afford it you might like to go to one meeting to get the books and the introductory talk. I think we've all got a tale to tell about what made us fat originally but the plan gives a good structure for healthy eating. We have the 105 syns a week for treats but it's never enough so you have to prioritise. If hot chocolate is your thing then that's fine. The Aldi Choceur is 1 syn per level teaspoon. A bit more expensive but many of the Options sachets are 1.5 or 2 syns.

I'm not a vegetarian but I enjoy some veggie meals. Batch cooking some veggie chilli for the freezer makes a useful HM ready meal. Places like Iceland have good bags of frozen fish. They may be all shapes and sizes but the cost per kg is more like half what they charge in the major supermarkets.

Our meal last night was fairly mediocre so least said the better. It's always a risk at this time of the year. So moving on.:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB overnight oats with red berries, HEA milk for drinks
L: Probably an omelette or JP haven't decided
D: beef in (fake) red wine, SW roast potatoes, loads of Speed veg
Syns: 1 for cornflour, weekend wine:D
    Sorry about your meal :(

Thanks Bubbs for the Tesco veg deals. I see a cauliflower cheese going on the menu - wonder which meal to dump that week so we can have it!

Welcome scrimps to our thread. As Maman said it might be worth going to group just to get the new books - they will be available the week between Christmas and New Year or 1st week of new year for existing members. I'd assume it would be the same for new members as well.

This weekend's food hasn't been too SW unfriendly particularly at my DD2s. She did stuffed chicken thighs with bacon round them. They were stuffed with a small piece of mozzarella which I couldn't even find once they were on the plate, LOL!

It was a chicken roast dinner at my sister's today so just a few Syns for the meat juices as she cooked the potatoes & carrots under the chicken on a rack.

The biggest number of syns came from wine, mainly on Saturday. Only had a glass with lunch today and not having any this evening - think I've had enough over the weekend!

Maman what do you mean by fake red wine? Do you mean the red wine stockpots? I find them really useful and tend to use them whenever I'm cooking with mince to help the flavour.

    Today's food:

B - porridge made with water, no fruit as DD didn't have any
L - roast chicken, roast potatoes, roast carrots, steamed broccoli & cauliflower, splash of gravy (about a Tbs at the most)
D - not hungry yet but will possibly make a crustless quiche or we might have a bacon & mushroom sandwich but will have to sync the bread if we do.
