That's good. I think it really helps to keep in touch.:)
Thanks for the info on the fish denise. I've eaten lemon sole before but I don't think I've ever cooked it myself. DH has always preferred haddock or cod although recently he's come to enjoy salmon. Lemon sole next!:D
I suppose I am lucky in that we have all major supermarkets within a few miles. Although I do my main shop in Aldi I call into Sainsbury's every now and again and always check out the YS shelf. Most of my meat and fish comes from there. I went there yesterday to buy the BGTY sausages and was pleasantly surprised to see they still have the 25% off wine offer on so we're well stocked up now.:D
We're out to eat again tonight. I think I must have made a decision on food choices but I really don't remember. I need to check with DH what I've ordered.:o The rest of the day will be SW friendly though: eggs and beans for breakfast and planning a JP with cottage cheese and beetroot for lunch.
It's very quiet on here at the moment. If you're all out Christmas shopping, hope you're all behaving yourselves.;)0 -
I would like to join please. I don't have an aim to lose weight but would like to discuss following SW with my midwife on Tuesday. I'm 6 months pregnant with my second child, my first is just about to turn a year old. I know its endorsed by the royal college of midwives and isn't a 'diet'. I think j just need to add a healthy extra a and b each day
I gained over 3 stone with baby 1, this includes the baby as I only was weighed when I went to be induced and have no idea what I was a week later etc. I lost it with SW with a 3 month memebership but was a good stone overweight before i got pregnant anyway so I didn't reach target. We had a variety of consultants, only one of which I liked. I don't want to lose but moving round is getting difficult and I can see I'm gaining more than i did last time. I eat a lot of fruit and veg but I'm eating a lot of bad food as well which isn't good for me or the baby.
I used to smoke and drink which obviously I've stopped but it has been replaced with eating. I suffer insomnia in pregnancy for some reason which just makes me want to eat as well as it being my stress response also. I've developed all the habits I did last pregnancy...I rarely make it past a McDonald's drive thru without stopping, never to go a shop without a chocolate bar or pastry to eat on the way home and I always buy a cake to go with the coffee if I do meet someone for a coffee at work.
I won't be going to a group, but if I can join this one perhaps it'll help keep me on the straight and narrow a bit more.
Also, food wise, DH and I are in a bit of a food rut so could do with some inspiration.
Sorry for the ramble.0 -

Hello and welcome:D
I cant comment on the being pregnant bit as have never been, Topgirl followed the plan losely while she was expecting and still does now
Seems like you have just got into bad habits:( when i packed in smoking after 30 plus yrs, i didnt think i ate to combat the smoking, but i was fat already and didnt notice the extra weight go on but when i thought back i DID EATso i must have put weight on , i certainly know dh did, we stopped together on the same day:T:T never looked back and cant stand the smell now:o

I have gained a very sweet tooth during both pregnancies whereas usually I couldn't eat a mars bar because they're too sickly, now i could merrily eat 2 and be fine. I'm going to use syns to have hot chocolates. 20g of aldi hot choc is 4 syns each I think, a portion is 30g but I can manage on 20g and have an extra cup.
I am also minimising meat. DH doesn't eat meat or dairy and that somewhat influences me, I struggle to bring myself to buy meat which is a real pain as most of the SW recipes I like have meat in them.
I've made the SW fragrant vegetable curry which I remembered from last time. I don't like it, I didn't like it last time either....so I'm not sure why I made it.0 -

See i couldnt do without meat, but i eat very few carbs, i dont eat pasta, rice, potatoes with a meal or bread:o
