You're a star beanie
I took the crisps to the FB today (not the Pringles so you're still OK to come round ) and then some of the bits from the shopping list they ask for. I'm appalled that we need food banks but so grateful that people like you provide them. :A0 -

Another fan of the Instant Pot here! I do everything in it. I can highly recommend the ragu recipe on Pinch of Nom. Also makes gorgeous curries, stews, perfect boiled/steamed potatoes and carrots (pots also cooked in here prior to roasting which makes them so fluffy on the inside). I got rid of my slow cooker after gettin this as I can now do ‘slow cooked’ meals in about 40 mins when I get in from work. It was expensive but I’ve never regretted it. I would recommend getting a steamer basket to go inside too as it holds veg better than the metal insert and I also got an extra pot (non stick) so I don’t have to wash in between if using it for more than one dish at a time0

I joined SW yesterday and got the brand new Starter Pack which I read when I got home.
Not doing a roast today because I found a side of salmon in the freezer so I will cook that with jacket potatoes and salad.
Somebody took a sneaky photo of me over Xmas and it is awful. I am sitting in a low chair after Xmas lunch and I look like I have a cushion up my tunic, Its terrible! Normally I delete all such photos but this one I will keep so I stay on track.0 -
Welcome Pennylane. You'll find plenty of support on this thread.
I'd definitely keep hold of the photo it'll help you to see how far you've come further down the line. I'd also suggest taking your measurements as quite often if you think you should have had a loss and don't get one you may well have lost some inches from somewhere.
You might like to post up your menu plans as many of us do and if we see anything glaringly obvious that's not quite right we can let you know almost immediately, rather than having to wait until your consultant sees your food diary! I love salmon but don't have it very often as DH isn't keen and I refuse to cook 2 separate dinners!
Today's plan (high syn for lunch!!!)
B - SW fry up - bacon, eggs, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms
L - Thin & crispy meat feast pizza with added peppers & cheese (HEA1)
D - SC beef, onions & carrots. Will serve with mash
Syns - pizza 10:eek: - what a waste of Syns but it's what DH fancied when we went shopping in the week!
HEA1 - 30g cheese
HEA2 - 350ml skimmed milk
HEB - none planned but have some hifi bars could have it wanted
