Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.... that’s my lesson from today! I didn’t prep my packed lunch last night when I had time, telling myself I’d get up 10 minutes earlier today to do it, did it happen, no it didn’t so I ended up spending £5 on a boxed saled from Pret admittedly it was delicious but I did have stuff at home. Also I had a plan to go to the gym on the way home but again had failed to get my kit ready last night and once I’m home it takes a pretty big emergancy for me to leave the house again! Must do better soon.
Pretty slow on financial matters all accounts have stayed the same with nothing going out today so apart from the £5 spend in pret that’s it, plans for this evening...
Prep lunch for tomorrow
Dinner from freezer
10 mins quick tidy round, put a wash on ready to go on line tomorrow

So I managed a nsd day today, 3 items sold on eBay but not much profit, only around £6 once I’d deducted fees and postage but it’s 3 items declutterd and £6 in my Xmas saving account which now stands at £32! Tilly tidyed 85p from my current account to the credit card, I’ll do this every couple of days to try and make a bit more progress with clearing the card. Considering this debt has been hanging around for years without me giving it a second thought all of a sudden I can’t wait to see the back of it and it’s become all I can think about!Aiming to be mortgage free in 3 years June 2023.

Make each day count! That is going to be my new mantra for life and debt busting! Each day I need to do something positive that is taking me in the direction that I want to go ( debt free, a saver not a spender, and overpaying on my mortgage). In life I want to try and appreciate the little things after all that’s what life is, a series of small moments so every day I want to see the good in the day not the bad!
So for debtbusting today - apart from posting my eBay parcels it has been a no spend day! I have reconciled my budget with my current account and everything is as it should be! I have tidyed £2.59 to the credit card! I have an item ending on eBay soon, it has 4 watchers but as of yet no bids! But some progress has been made today!
In life - I am appreciating the lovely weather we are having, it’s giving me an energy spurt and all o want to do is clean my house and do washing to hang on the line so it’s keeping me busy! I also have a nice cold bottle of wine chilling in the fridge so I will be enjoying a glass of that later!Aiming to be mortgage free in 3 years June 2023.

Make each day count- so today I have done the following- tidyed 47p to my Christmas savings pot, reconciled my account, I have 2 bids on 2 items on eBay, I have ended 7 items that haven’t sold for ages and will relist on auction rather than buy it now, no spend day!
Grateful for - the downpours that saved me watering the garden, my lovely neighbor who got my washing in for me, a free costa tea from a work colleague, the leftover wine from last night ready to be enjoyed!Aiming to be mortgage free in 3 years June 2023.

Tidyed 71p to Christmas savings pot, this now stands at £40. Would love to get this to £50 by the end of the month! Then Im going to aim to boost it by a further £75 in Aug, this pot is to be funded from eBaying and Tilly tidys. I’m off work now for a full week so I need to think of some low cost entertainment for each day so I don’t waste the week. I want to go back to work with renewed energy and motivation.
Make each day count - apart from a top up shop it was a no spend day. My Tilly tidy. Lunch from home using up some leftovers.
Grateful for - a productive and relatively pleasant day in work. A week off work to look forward to. A Friday night pizza ( Aldi specially selected).!Aiming to be mortgage free in 3 years June 2023.

Make each day count - have decided to forgo the weekly shop today due to the heavy rain, it’s been nonstop all day, instead I’m going to make use of what we already have in and make room in the freezer, today will most definitely be a no spend day! Have spent the day being lazy and catching up on diary’s on here, wanderd over to the mortgage free wannabe board earlier and was very inspired by 1 diary in particular and got so engrossed in it I have read the whole 39 pages in one sitting and it’s inspired me to start overpaying my mortgage sooner rather than later, no reason why I have to wait until I’ve paid of the credit card especially now it’s at 0%!
Grateful for - a lovely long weekend sleep in and a lazy day, no plans for this evening either just a nice tea and maybe find something to watch on Netflix.Aiming to be mortgage free in 3 years June 2023.

Thanks chrystal, I’m feeling really positive at the moment, I think posting daily is really helping with keeping me focused!
I have discovered I can make overpayments to my mortgage very easily online, I already had visibility of my mortgage as it’s with the bank that I have my current account with so I just logged into the desktop site rather than the app and it was already there set up to make overpayments. I have paid £5 as a test! I have no idea about sub accounts (except that there are 3 of them) Or LtV but I will learn as I go, I also worked out I am paying just under £6 per day in interest! I think I will tinker about with the monthly budget before next pay day and see if I can factor in a regular overpayment, even £20 a month would be better than nothing!Aiming to be mortgage free in 3 years June 2023.

It’s still raining, it’s been raining since Friday! OH got cabin fever around 2pm and went out for a drive, I stayed in my pjs again! I have listed a jumpsuit on eBay, it’s been hanging up in the spare room for months and I just ignore it every time I go in there so I took the bull by the horns and listed it today, then I took the Ziffit app and went through the shelves in the wardrobe that house old books and cds and managed to pull a batch together for £15, just need to find a box to package them up in. Made a roast dinner from foraging in the freezer and discovered I have enough in there for evening meals for the rest of the week, just need to do a bit of a meal plan as I may need to do a small top up shop,
Found the following- sliced lamb - have enough frozen veg, just need potatoes
2 x sausage and mash ready meals, will bulk out with frozen veg for OH
Diced pork - I’m thinking some sort of goulash and rice, will probably need some peppers and spices can probably turn this into two meals
Bag of 20 frozen sausages- sausage chips beans - just need chips/ sausage on toast/ toad in the hole/ sausage pesto pasta/ sausage chips gravy.
So there is definitely enough for 9 meals at least, I will just check what I need to put it together and will definitely need milk, bread ect, so I’m thinking of not doing a weekly shop this week and running the freezer down, maybe this could be done every other month when the freezer accumulates bits and bobs and the surplus cash could be diverted else where?
Make each day count - a nsd, a eBay listing, Ziffit, I have renamed my bank accounts with sensible names such as gas/ electricity. Car tax/insurance and plan to save into these monthly,

It’s true... ask and the universe really does provide. Woke up this morning and checked bank account ( this has become the 1st thing I do, while still rubbing the sleep from my eyes) noticed that 1 lot of car insurance and broadband has come out, ticked them off my list and checked account balance v list of Direct debits, everything was in order, no surprises, scrolled through my other ( empty) savings pots, Checked balence on credit card, and checked to see if tiny mortgage payment had shown on account ( it hasn’t) Tilly tidyed 4p over to Christmas savings, then I got the urge to make an overpayment somehow but couldn’t so closed the app and did a little pray to eBay! Came downstairs and decided to open the larger envelope that has been left on the hall table for at least two weeks, I know it contains the paperwork for OH car insurance renewal that I did last month, so decided to open it and do a quick check and there was a list of dates for future direct debits the 1st one not being until 1st September, which means the £50 I had budgeted for this month was now surplus to requirements! Consultation with OH and we decided to pay it off the credit card, I put an extra £4.31 to it to take the balence to (1599.00) I am so happy 😃Aiming to be mortgage free in 3 years June 2023.
