not sure what to do now then?

If you opt for an oral hearing, will you go? Or would you drop out at the last minute.

If it is likely you will drop out at the last minute, do you realise the other side can ask for and get additional costs if they win?

  • What’s the difference between doing N159 now or N180 then writing to the judge asking for papers only? Does this achieve much? They won’t back out I know. I know I won’t win as I don’t have a strong evidence at all, none in fact at this point. I can just hope for the amount to be reduced as much as possible for my son but I just want it the the least stressful way as everyone now knows I’m not finding this easy at all. I’m happy to do N180 but that does seem to just buy me time and longer to sweat and worry too! I wish I had everyone else’s knowledge and experience to know this will be ok, it’s just a burden to us at the moment.
  • Oh I hope so beamerguy. I’m negative because theres no evidence and no idea where to start with one either, I think that’s the problem, If I had the knowledge like you lot I’d feel much more confident that’s for sure
  • Ah no I was just going on advice from here. Was told fill in N180 then change to papers only
A couple of weeks before hearing. No he wouldn’t appear in court it has to be papers only!
  • Oh no help I’m back to square one after hearing this... my heads banging I’m so confused

    Yes, and nothing has changed.

N180, to call the Claimant's bluff, for now.

Can we avoid going over all this yet again please?

I cannot understand how this is difficult when we've already discussed it umpteen times and are on post #157...

  • Simply because I’ve just heard if I go N180 and lose I’ll get more charges so have been told just few posts back to do N159! I’m guessing you disagree then I haven’t misunderstood that it clearly says the other form

IamEmanresu simply said you would be liable for costs IF YOU DROP OUT AT THE LAST MINUTE, but we've already discussed all this and you are not dropping out 'at the last minute' are you.

You know to ask for a hearing on the papers, two weeks before the hearing.

Just do the N180 if you have not already, and stop spinning around every time someone posts something, it's probably because they can't keep up with your long thread and can't recall that we've already discussed all this.
