APCOA PCN Luton Airport

Hello fellow motorists,

I'd like to apologise in advance, as I feel like similar questions were asked before, it's just I am struggling to find a clear answer at this moment.

My father has received a windscreen PCN ticket at Luton airport couple of days ago for 'Vehicle left unattended in drop off zone', which is, unfortunately, what actually happened. My dad has left his car because my mum got lost, so he had to find her.

On the way back, he found a parking guy putting a ticket on his car.

The key point, I am planning to pick up on, when challenging this ticket, is that my dad has left the drop off zone before the 10mins limit and paid a drop - off fee.

So I just wanted to ask you guys, if there's actually a point of writing an appeal by explaining this short story? Should I write about something else? Or should I just give up, as there's no chance they will approve my appeal in this situation? Should I try appealing through POPLA? Maybe someone could spend some time explaining how does POPLA work and what exactly it is?

Send the already written blue text template appeal that you will find in post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

Send it without change - no additions or alterations necessary.

Send it after 26 days.

Send it as the keeper.

Thank you KeithP. Should I include Formal note as well? If I apply after 26 days and they'll reject it, will I have to pay the full fine? Or do you think it's the case we should win? Appreciate your time!

It's not a fine and no-one here pays a penny unless they lose a rare case in court! This will not get anywhere near.

A registered keeper appellant CANNOT LOSE at POPLA stage v APCOA as long as no-one implies who was driving. You have 100% winnable PCN there, a scam. Easily brushed off.

We will eat our keyboards if you manage to lose this at POPLA, by following forum advice.

Use the current forum appeal template with NOTHING else added.

Yes - and it is so easy you can just copy another APCOA Airport one. Search the forum for APCOA Airport POPLA.

Good Lord no, you (as registered keeper, using our templates) cannot lose at POPLA. I don't say that lightly.

Thank you very much! Is there particular reason why I should wait for the 26th day to submit my initial appeal?
Will POPLA appeal stage be the final stage of this nightmare?

Quite probably - if you continue to follow the guidance offered.
