GPS mobile phones
Hi all
Does anyone know what price GPS mobile phones start from?
I cheked O2 XDA orbit and Nokia N95 but they seem a bit steep.
I've O2 XDA 2i which has everything including 2GB CD card but no GPS. Buying a GPS receiver is again not a great option as it drains phone battery and its another thing to care about.
Phones with built in GPS sound good to me, please get your thoughts and links coming.
Cheers!!

N95 is rubbish for GPS. Only works when its held to the sky. Totally pointless!0

Please stop talking out of your !!!!, it is an excellent system and even works on the passenger seat of my car.
A couple of things to make sure you do to enhance your N95 GPS. Always have the keypad slid out, as the receiver is located there. Make sure you have firmware version V12 loaded and A-GPS switched on.0 -
Thanks for your reply folks... Any other mobiles you have in mind? How about O2 XDA Orbit? Is it any good?
What prices should I expect to pay for Orange SPV M700 and Nokia N95 (and others?)0 -

Not my experience either. I was messing around with mine indoors the other day and it picked up a signal without any problem.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

I'm sorry, I don't apologise. That's just the way I am. Homer (Simpson)0 -
The fantatically spec'd but pricey HTC TYTN 2 (Vario 3 on T-Mob) has this. But so far upgrade prices have put me off!0

m700 is the basically same as the orbit, if you can id go for the orbit
I'm not sure I'd agree with that - the M700 has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and runs Windows Mobile 6. The Orbit doesn't have the keyboard and runs WM5.
BTW I've got an M700 and it's great.
Sorry - ignore that - I thought you were talking about the Eten Glofish M700....!!0 -
no it doesnt!!! m3100 and the tytn 2 and e650 have slide out keyboards not the M700 - http://www.business.orange.co.uk/servlet/Satellite?pagename=Business&c=OUKDevice&cid=1044134008063&extarg8=sessionadd&extarg9=1044134008063
and according to orange the m700 comes with WM5 not 6 (The M700 is set up to work with Microsoft® Windows Mobile™ 5.0 platform) and the orbit can VERY easily be upgraded to 6 anyway,
my orbit is running WM6Yes Your Dukeiness0 -
Thanks for your input folks..
So far my list for search on e-bay includes:
M700, ORBIT, N95, TYTN (2), Vario (3), M3100, E650
Could someone please confirm that these are all GPS phones? Have I missed any?0
