No, I haven't seen the signs?

All I saw was the sparse statement: PRIVATE PARKING sign and a view of the inside of the car park and bays, with no signage terms within view at all, nothing.

That's enough for me to conclude that when the person parked, they saw no terms binding them to pay a penalty or any relevant obligation/contract.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, OP has posted signs in front of the reserved bays but not the contractual signs. Frankly, if OP couldn't see the signs supplied in Dropbox, then they ought not to be driving.

I said that in order to beat this, OP would need to have some photographic evidence to override inadequate signage or they would be on a loser. PPC will claim that the yellow signs were not contractual, simply indicating where restricted parking existed. This could have been done with floor writing which would have achieved the same result. So not much point in focusing on that and saying that the yellow signs you have seen do not contain contractual or penalty wording, that the PPC will probably agree with

The key is the size, positioning, lighting, wording and prominence of the actual contractual signs. (OP will probably get the relevant photos of that.)And, of course, the other standard technical appeal points such as POFA compliance and landowner authority.

I agree, and the contractual signs are nowhere near the bays.

    £100 original PCN
    £25 for claimant's filing fee
    £25 for claimant's hearing fee
£50 (max - capped) for claimant's legal fees

BWL will try to add a further £60 for some spurious reason or another, but if argued properly, a Judge shouldn't allow this.

and take great joy in knowing that the cost of taking court action very often exceeds the amount won (if they win)
