They're rubbish now - but your response email indicates to me that they didn't understand your complaint. They thought you were complaining about the meat content... when you were complaining there was no meat.

    Did you waffle a lot?

Or maybe they were foreign and copy/pasting answers based on what they thought emails said to them.

For aficionados of the Fray Bentos pie ,you might like to know that they have the steak and kidney flavoured ones in Asda ,morrisons and iceland currently at £1. Thats for the larger 425 gr one. The foul Princes ones are also £1

I was dragged up poor in the 70s and sometimes got fed a bit of this for Sunday dinner as we were that p*ss poor thats all we could afford.

For that reason, i couldnt possibly buy or eat one now. Even then though, i do recall they were all puff pastry and very little meat.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

I used to enjoy one back in the 70s, but I can't remember the last time I ate one, it was just was large piece of inedible gristle.

I used to have them regularly, and love them, when I used to live alone. Not had one in 40 years of marriage, I'm trying to work out whether I gained from the exchange <s>.

You should try their suet puddings, loads of suet and tiny amount of meat. No wonder they're always on offer.

Ahhhh the 70's, fond memories. We all had gristle in the 70's, its much better than the GM gristle you get these days.

I remember bacon with bone/cartilage in with a fatty rind. The snowflakes would want compensation for the rubbish we had to eat, but they were happy days.

And dont get me started on allergies. In the 70's no one ever, and I mean ever had a peanut allergy. Whats that all about? Nutty bars, umm lovely, playing football in the park, jumpers for goal posts. Home before the street lights came on. The 'strange' man down the road, lived with his mum, gave you a caramac bar if you had a chat with him in his shed, dont tell your mum. Innocent days, fantastic.........

You know Baxter's is a Scottish company don't you? Does that count as "foreign"?
