Hypothetical Future Divorce
Comments

OP - you've taken away your future wife's opportunity to own her own home.
By moving into your property that you don't let her have any rights over, she is not able to buy her own property, get a foot on the property ladder etc etc. So if you then get divorced, surely it's only right that she gets compensated for that opportunity you've taken away from her.
That's what marriage is all about.
If you want to keep what's yours and not legally share it with another person, then don't get married.
I don't understand why people are so insistent on getting married when it's clear they don't want to be... It's not about being in love and sharing a life together, you can do that without getting married. It's about legally being considered as effectively a joint unit that you each contribute to in different ways but of equal value (and not monetary value).0
