  • Bored, tired and just want to load out and go home now. Half the band have already gone, but we've got to wait, then drive for nearly three hours, then go via Luton, Islington for unloading and it's still a good two hours before we're back in the warm and dry with the cats.

  • Oh, that was unexpected. I can now put my newest shirt on over a t-shirt, a long-sleeved t-shirt with and a hoodie and still get my leather jacket on over the top. Did I mention it's cold here? And the shirt is still far too big.

Himself has just pulled me aside to ask very gently if I could possibly not diet quite so much, but as 'he's noticed I'm looking a bit pale and fragile'. I wonder if that was before or after I carted half the gear into the van, up the stairs of the venue and back down the stairs to the stage or after I carried it all back up again?

Is there a handy wall I could bang a head against? Not necessarily mine, I hasten to add...

  • Morning all,

Thanks again for your lovely messages yesterday :happyhear I feel so lucky to have fab support on here.

I have some laundry to do today, the dog needs a long walk and a chicken dinner needs to be cooked and eaten :)

I also need to do some financial year ending planning, there are a few things that I really want to get paid off and cancelled before year end to get a clean slate to start the new year with.

Cuppa is calling, have lovely Sundays all xx
    MFW :)

  • Woke with felines draped around my head. I suspect that they noticed the drop in temperature,

Wiped a million crumbs off the counter, wondered exactly why used teabags aren't dropped into the bin less than six inches away, loaded BM and made tea.

I'm expecting Himself to be all tired and intending to stay in bed all day, thanks to all the heavy lifting and walking up stairs he did yesterday.

He will not be staying in bed all day.

    atb excellent news. :T

Managed to blitz the bathroom yesterday.

We've made an executive decision here to postpone vacuuming til Mishka's gone home (she's here til Tuesday) as she's moulting in the way that only Huskies can, and it's pointless vaccing it all up just to have it re-appear 30 minutes later.

Mishka managed to pull my bedside cabinet over this morning - I think she was planning to investigate the drawers to see if there was anything interesting inside. No harm done - worst was a glass of water tipped all over the floor, but the glass remained intact, thankfully. Mr Wolf was reminded that he must close the bedroom door to keep her out, if neither of us is there to supervise her. She's just so nosy, and investigates everything.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

  • I'm bushed :D

Two big dog walks done, bedding washed, three loads done in WM, chicken dinner cooking now, two bags of carp evicted from DS room, big bag for chazza loaded up for morning. TV licence renewed and bank accounts checked.

I'm having wine now, because I'm not working tomorrow :j

Still nibbling on tadpoles but now getting sewing done as well. Why does everything take so long?
    Better is good enough.
  • Hi all

Well, my DS has been home for 24 hours. Lovely that he is happy, well and enjoying college. But, oh, watching him drive away knowing I might not see him again for a month. I managed not to cry, just. Nothing quite prepares you for this.

Work was a bit rubbish last week so I am feeling a bit fragile. Who was it that said that when the going gets tough you have to just keep going? That's how I feel at the moment.

So a relaxing evening and an early night is in order I think.
