  • I’ll get the mop and bucket out on Sunday!

    Thank you
  • They’re claiming there are scratches caused by myself. Be good to see if they can prove it! I’ll let you know how I get on!
  • So, a quick update for you (please, any advice is welcomed).

The finance company have told me today that since the dealer sent photos of apparent scratches I caused (on Monday after the collected the car) they have still to provide them with any evidence that these weren’t present at the time of sale.

They have also said they have encountered a ‘snag’ as the dealer isn’t happy about the reviews I have left them on various web outlets warning people of there conduct and to advise them to thoroughly check the car for certain faults and tonask for proof of repair on these faults.

The guy at MotoNovo literally pleaded with me to remove these reviews to ‘make his life easier’ as the dealer won’t budge until I do so.

I informed his that until the dealer drops his claims about the apparent scratches I’ll do nothing of the sort.

I also contacted the ombudsmen about the issue and he lady advised me to contact MotoNovo and inform them that I had been consulted by them and that I have been advised to report a complaint with MotoNovo for withholding money from me. This is in the hope that they sort it out beforehand themselves.

Since I’ve received my final letter from the finance company stating they are backing my rejection, do they not owe me my money regardless of the nonsense they are being faced with by the dealer?? My contract was with MotoNovo after all and not the dealer. Is he not their problem??

    Thanks!

As long as the reviews you have left are factual, personally, I'd stand firm and state that they are remaining online. Your position now is you want the money back from the finance co.

The finance company has to fight its own battles with the dealer.

They're in a strong position because if they won't finance the dealer's deals the dealer won't last long.

I contacted the finance company by email there for them to pick up in the morning with this:

    ‘Good evening Andrew,

I’d like to also highlight that at no point have I made an agreement with Haven Cars Ltd. my agreement was with MotoNovo Finance and since MotoNovo Finance is now in breach of this agreement you are legally required to repay me the entire sum of monies that I have made to you during that agreement.

I dealt with MotoNovo Finance, MotoNovo Finance dealt with Haven Cars Ltd. Any query you may have with Haven Cars Ltd is that if MotoNovo Finance and not one of mine.

This is the complaint that will be raised by myself to the Financial Ombudsmen.

    Kind Regards'

Should this about do it for now?

    Thanks
  • Just got a call from MotoNovo saying they’re removing me from the equation. They have an ongoing dispute with the dealership over the scratches so good luck to him being financed by them in future!

Also, MotoNovo asked me if I’d begun preceedings with the ombudsman yet. I said so long as I have my funds back by the middle of next week I don’t see any reason to consult them again!

    I think I finally have a result

If I were you I’d remove your first name from your post, as I have found your review and full details, with a rough location after a 2 second search. I am identifiable on here, I wish often that I wasn’t.

I agree with the action you have taken, and the review appears truthful and to the point, so there is no need to remove that.
