Short Term Right To Recect - MotoNovo Finance

I suppose I could always get an AA independent check carried out and if, only if, Motonovo’s independent check tries to discredit my previous mechanics checks? Surely this would be enough to say “ok, see you in court”?0
-
The independent inspection is to take place tomorrow and I’ve just read up on the company MotoNovo has chosen to carry out the inspection. Automotive aconsulting Engineers Ltd (ACE) is the name of the company and from reading their google business reviews there I am less than confident about how the inspectors report is going to look. They have more 1star reviews than 5star and sound less than inpartial nor do they seem thorough. They aim to please whomever is paying for the inspection (MotoNovo).
Do you have any advice on what to say to MotoNovo in the event that ACE whole heartedly make up a bias report for them?
Thanks
Another way to look at this is that the inspections could be fair but they are not the result that certain people want.
If I tell someone something they don’t want to hear, they are unlikely to be happy about it.💙💛 💔0 -
So the mechanic arrived at 3:45 in the afternoon on Tuesday there and was away by 4:05.....said to my gf who was at home that I’ll get my money back as he said the front and back shocks were leaking heavily, the front right wheel bearing was so badly worn it made the car incredibly unsafe to drive (hence he never even started the engine). He also reckons (in his opinion) that the drivers side has been smashed and fixed and undeclared as the door paint (suspected paint job) is flicking away and the panels don’t line up anywhere around the car. He phoned me right after to give me the heads up on what he was going to put in his report. He reckons none of these faults would have been not present at the time of sale. Should I be jumping for joy as I await a response from MotoNovo?

You should be awaiting the formal insoection report before deciding how to proceed.
This does sound to an extent like good news though, especially as you now have a witness, if not an independent one.💙💛 💔0 -
The finance company received the report on Thursday. I called again on Friday to request a copy of the findings and the handler said that they didn’t want to send me a copy until they had had a response from the dealer regarding the report. He said he’d ‘chase them up’ again on the Friday afternoon and failing that he’d chase them again Monday morning. I called there to see if there were any updates and he said he haven’t heard back from them and therefore couldn’t send me a copy of the report yet. He said he’d chase them up right away and let me know if any updates.
MotoNovo state on their website that if they get an independent inspection carried out on your vehicle then they will give you a copy of the report. Is there any way I can force their hand to obtain a copy of this? I fear that this may drag out for a very long time if the dealer refuses to responsd to MotoNovo.
Perhaps MotoNovo fear that once I see the findings in the report I may begin legal proceedings?
They just don’t seem to be in any rush to get this resolved and I’m having to push things every step of the way.0 -
It’s been almost 6 weeks since I notified MotoNovo of my intent to reject the vehicle under the CRA20150

They said they would chase the dealer today and you're already on their backs first thing, patience man.0 -
I get that, of course.
But what I mean is, if I get a copy of the report and it says what the ACE mechanic said he was going to put in it - backing up my case that the faults were present at the time of sale then surely this is enough for me to enforce my final right to reject the vehicle on to the finance company? I just don’t see what use it is for the Finance company to still have me involved in this process.0 -
Why not just raise a Section 75 claim against the finance company?0
-
How would I go about this?
Would I need to wait for their decision on my Vehicle Quality claim first?
