Silly question perhaps, but does becoming a wealthify customer make you an aviva customer, or do you already have to have some insurance or SIPP product with Aviva to qualify?
I assume the second, as otherwise saying you need to be an aviva customer would be redundant, but I couldn't find this specifically in the terms.0 -
If you just sign up to Wealthify you don't become an Aviva customer as they are different companies with Aviva mostly owning Wealthify.
You need an active MyAviva account (not sure if they disable these if you cease to have any active products) and it's unclear if you would be eligible if you are a former Aviva customer.
There is some data sharing so it auto populates most of the Wealthify application form (including my dodgy address...) with your Aviva data. You also don't get a new Wealthify username and password just a new clickthru button on the MyAviva portal.

Right my wife's account is now ready and it's going to take the initial £25 payment. Still no progress on setting up my account after over a week (and the first message reply was a generic response) so just chased again.

I found both Nick W. amd Layth to be very helpful on live chat/phone0 -

Just had written confirmation that I'm eligble and I am a former customer but with an active MyAviva account. The way I did it was to call for confirmation beforehand and then ask them to send it in writing as a secure messge to my account once set up, which they did straight away.
Incidentally, I encountered technical problems when I tried to sign up with the wealthify-account-managed-via-MyAviva option so I deselected this option.0 -
Cool - both of our accounts are now setup with first payment pending.
Its interesting that with both Moola and Wealthify some of the direct debit emails seem to come directly from market maker Winterflood Securities and are almost identical.
Our Moola balanced accounts are currently down around £20 each on 7x£100 payments (2.8%) which I guess isn't bad given market conditions.

I haven't paid much attention to these small accounts but just noticed that after the first £25 DD in November they added the £25 bonus but didn't collect any further DDs.
Logging into our accounts it says we don't have a regular payment plan. I could ask customer services but can no longer be bothered with these hopeless people so just clicked the withdraw button while the accounts are still worth over £50.
