You might want to consider the issue of a Letter of Claim to UKCPS for the time you have had to expend (waste) in defending a worthless clam that clearly, on the basis of their discontinuance, they knew they had no reason to pursue. Cost out at x hours @ £19ph litigant in person rate.
If they don’t cough up, issue a MCOL claim following the same process they imposed on you.
