Best buys from Lidl?

I used to use cheap dishwasher tablets but they cause a white bloom on glasses which cannot be removed. Instead I now buy Finish tablets at Poundland where you can buy 120 for £8 which is a fraction of their supermarket price. The glasses and crockery are sparkling. I am a very savvy spender but sometimes what looks like a bargain isn’t!0

The Primadonna olive oil is used by top chefs. I believe they have carried out a blind taste test and it came out the winner. I love it anyway.0

I would definitely recommend the dishwasher tablets from Lidl, the All in One box came second in a Which test, beating most other brands, including Finish!

Only Fairy came out slightly higher, but they are three times the price.
There's not much I wouldn't recommend from there - I find their colombian coffee tastes better than our old Kenco brand, and their flavoured Greek yoghurts and layered yoghurts are really tasty.
The only two things that I wouldn't buy are again are their tinned mackerel in tomato sauce, which I found had a really odd taste, and the kids were not impressed with their own brand 'supernoodles'.0 -
Hi,
Can I just add that their version of a famous chocolate seashells are absolutely amazing! I love them so much that I now prefer them to the original!
Their versions of famous snickers and mars bars are also very very good replicas but at a fraction of a cost.
Their savoury crackers are great too.
All in all I get great value and quality for the money at Lidl however their fresh fruit and veg doesn't last as long as Tesco's so now I buy only enough for 2-3 days and there are no problems at all.
I am sure you will soon become addicted to the savings and quality as the rest of us!0 -
Another vote for the Greek Style yoghurt, but I love the Honey one!
I love their own mayo (Barts i think is the brand?).
Their multi pack of crisps (meaty flavours) are really good, lots of flavour and a good thick crisp. Love their wee cheese thin biscuits, their £2.99 round cakes (carrot!!).
God just buy everything :rotfl::rotfl:
Also with regards to the wine, my boss used to buy a specific red from M&S, £9.99 a bottle. After input from me he now buys the exact same bottle in Lidl for £4.99!!

i've been sat thinking for a while and i can't think of anything i've bought that wasn't liked. the weekly 'offers' are pretty good, esp the greek week spinach and cheese swirleees that i have to keep freezer space for
if you're a specs wearer and also use heavy duty greasy moisturiser i can reccommend the glasses wipes, they bring my specs up sparklyNormal people worry me.0 -

Aside from that and the coffee, there is not much on my shopping list I wouldn't buy from Lidl. But I have to say that I prefer Aldi for fruit because it lasts so much longer.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
